I'm expecting 10,000 for the trial game (valentines night + ridiculously expensive tickets will keep the crowd down) and 15,000+ for the StormvSth's game. MES capacity is around 18,500 so if we can get around 15,000 the place will be rocking.

If we achieve those figures I'll be happy and lay off the WARL for making it so expensive!

At least the trial game should be a afl free game which might attract a better crowd, but fancy picking Valentine's night for a game...not really good planning

Sths vs Storm is R.14 and no doubt either the Eagles or dockers are playing that weekend...but hey, at least the NRL are promoting league in WA so thats a positive. Wonder the what the price of admission will be for this game....if the NRL keep it as cheap as possible, it will of course draw more people.

Plus a few give away tickets to kids would help for both games.

Unfortunately as the WARL are having to cover all costs it won't be cheap and there'll be no freebies!

Stuff the NRL they are a useless organisation, surely they could throw in some free tickets for local school kids or the needy.
So how much would it be for a ticket for the Storm vs Sths game?

I know you mentioned the price of the trial and remember it was expensive, could you repeat the price again...ta.

Gate Prices:
Adults $32-43
Kids $24.50-43

I can understand why the WARL have had to do it but I am really disappointed as these games could have given us an accurate gauge of how much interest there is in Perth right now.

Who is going to pay a min $115 to take the family to a "trial" game. They'd struggle in Brisbane let alone in Perth. The NRL need to wake up and decide if they want to seriously look at a National game or not.

Great we've got games at long last but yet another missed opportunity to add to the RLWC, Ch9, Western Reds etc etc

How? When I go on ticket master and click best available it only comes up with general admission. How did you get better seats offered?

Excuses already? I thought Perth was guaranteed to gate more to a game than Sydney clubs - as long as it's not Valentines Day, Mother's Day, Mufti Day or against AFL.....

Valentines day FFS!

Get 25k or forget it.

Thanks for that...really pricey as I can recall saying that before, particularly for the kids.

Good luck, sounds like there's some interest anyway.
What better way to spend St. Valentine's night...with that someone special:kiss::C:

Mmm very pricey indeed.

You are certainly right about the fact it is another missed opportunity. That organization (NRL) keeps shooting itself in the foot time after time.

Does the NRL organise trials? I thought it was the clubs on their own, in preparation for the NRL season.

You would think the NRL would have some say in this...especially games going into country areas or afl territory....but a good question.
Its something they should be involved in somehow, to promote the game.

I think the clubs organise and the NRL endorses the games. Personally I'd like the NRL to set aside a little money to fund trial games in non RL heartlands and country areas. Would encourage the clubs and help out the non RL states organising bodies massively.
