My wife has anaphylaxis reaction to dozens of different things including a server reaction to hooping cough vaccine and was under supervision with her Pfizer and was fine don’t use anything as an excuse, you don’t get it because your a pussy simple as that.
Hhmmm...
It's a shame it's come to this.
I'm fortunate. I'm an essential worker and haven't missed a pay check nor a mortgage payment. I've had 5 holidays interrupted or cancelled. And locked down and masked.
But no woe is me as l know others who are barely hanging on.
I know people who are close to losing their business. Cannot pay bills. I know a couple who HAVE lost a flourishing business. Pay bills...ha!
Having to home-school kids and couldn't attend a funeral of one of their fathers. The sacrifices are huge - but if they choose not to be injected with a vaccine that hasent gone thru the safe testing levels they are 'pussys'. Wow.
They are selfish??
In their own body.
To make a decision they don't wish to have it injected.

They don't bag out on those who choose to. They live and let live - but cop shit because they make a personal balanced choice not to be injected with a substance that other countries have pumped in to the rate of 70% of the population and it still doesn't stop the spread.

Personally l never get the flu vaccine because most who get it catch the flu anyway. That's my choice.

By all means get the vaccine. Feel safer. Feel good about yourself. Pat yourself on the back. That's your personal choice. It's your body - but going on the front foot at good people, educated, successful smart people who decide it's not for them....sad.

And herein is where the confusion lies. No one is saying if you get the vaccine you won't get COVID. What they are saying is that if you have the vaccine the chances of you becoming seriously ill as a result are drastically reduced. You are also less likely to pass it on.

As someone pointed out earlier, there are only 7,000 ICU beds in the country. If the Delta strain is left to run rampant, those beds will fill very quickly. Aside from the strain that will put on our health system, it also means anyone else who becomes seriously ill is pretty much given a death sentence.

And, trust me, respiratory failure is a f**king awful way to die. I wouldn't wish it upon anyone.

Yes, it’s a personal choice - as I said:
It’s OK. Don’t get vaccinated If you don’t want to. It’s a serious choice though so I urge you to seek quality information and make a rational decision. That’s all. Now, let‘s get back to the footy

90% of those that don’t want it will be the ones happy to take drugs made in some blocks garage, drink or smoke what ever they can get there hands on till they pass out and trust their own online research instead of the millions of hours done by people who dedicate their lives into their specialised field.
Will also be the ones that will cost the county billions on future medical bills when they do and will get sick.
But joe the camera man knows best.
It’s simple you don’t get it because of mummy trust issues, your own stupidity or weakness to tuffen up.
God forbid all those that do get vaccinated drop dead because those left will be living like caveman anyway.

I had Pfizer. Maybe was lucky. Didn't even get a sore arm. Nor did they keep me for an extended period due to my bee sting allergy because they said it wasn't going to happen as there are no bee by products in either AZ or Pfizer. My mate at work also has had anaphylaxis to wasp stings and was told by a GP not to have it but he braved up and got it. No side effects either.

People need to stop spreading misinformation and get over their weird anxieties and rumour mongering and just get it done.
Agree - to think some of crap the general public have taken over time in the forms or illegal or for that matter legal drugs, but the jab is such a divisive issue.
It is what it is.

Wow man.
Please stop.
You are making a fool of yourself.

90%?
If you choose to bag out on others with terms such as 'stupidity or 'weakness' or 'pussys' don't pull figures and stereotypes out of your arse to push your point.
90%?!?
Backyard booze and drugs??!

You personally have absolutely no idea about people who have made the choice about vaccination.
Not a single clue.
Yet you know the personal decisions 90% of them make.
Unbelievable.
But a good example of how this debate is being fought. On keyboards by the unenlightened.

I am not getting into this on here. Not at any depth.
And this is the last of it from me - But l am well-read on immunisation. Very well-informed. I had to be. As l am on safe testing levels for medications.
Unfortunately my daughter was born with a condition and is on a drug that costs 250k a year. Over the past 21 years lve had the need to do more than most and more than lve wanted to on certain subjects for one so close.

I wouldnt come on here and suggest people do research. Im just not picking sides in this.
Plus the hole of information is too deep and getting deeper. I could find a post and a link from a well renowned Pulitzer winning 5 star scientist who can sprout data that proves the earth is flat. Or maybe haxagonal. Or...

But ...in the midst of all this, if anyone's scared or concerned we haven't been here before, there is some very encouraging and sensible and fact based stuff about natural immunity in regardsto coronaviruses. Or virus mutations. Or the 3 waves of the Spanish flu over 6 years that killed 40 million. That was 100 years ago.

Anyways. Back to the footy.

No changes to next weeks draw

The NRL plan to forge ahead with next week’s round 21 without change to the current schedule despite forced changes to this weekend’s draw.
That will mean clubs playing on Sunday and Monday will have deal with one less day to prepare.
It will mean the Newcastle Knights will only have four days between Sunday’s game against Canberra to get ready to take on the Brisbane Broncos on Thursday night.
NRL clubs have been warned that the players need to continue to adhere to strict Covid protocols and be adaptable to change from here on.

I’ll agree on one thing let’s get back to footy and will leave it at that as we have both voiced our opinions and no one wants to read this shit when all we want is to watch footy

The Pulitzer Prize is awarded in the arts. It's possibly the Nobel Prize in medicine that you're thinking of. Interestingly Australia has a Nobel laureate, Dr Peter Doherty, currently living and researching in Brisbane. He won the Nobel prize for his work in immunology. He strongly recommends vaccination against COVID.

There are no five star scientists who believe the earth is flat. Anyone who holds that belief isn't a scientist at all. In fact, the earth is not spherical either - its a geoid, ellipsoid or spheroid (roughly equivalent) - basically an asymmetrical, lumpy shape that approximates a spherical shape.

There is an effective solution. It’s called learn to live with it. Protect the vulnerable and let people live.

Except it’s pretty difficult to protect the vulnerable when you don’t know exactly who will be vulnerable.

Plus, we’ve got knobheads refusing to do something as simple as wearing a mask for their fellow humans.

I’ve never had the flu vaccine because I always felt i would take my chances getting it.

I’ve had this vaccine because we need to stop transmitting it….as too many people are getting it and dying. There is no political will to live with those consequences and we can’t go back to a normal way of life unless at least 70% of us are vaccinated.
