The size of Gagai's contract really isn't the issue/point here. It's that like Smith, Scott, etc, he really doesn't seem to feel discriminated against despite not being a "local".

Not really...Cam Smith didn't miss Tapine across the cheek in a 4 man tackle to cause the concussion but (Surprise! Surprise!) doesn't seem to get picked up by the commentators or BS Buettner and the MRC

Secondly, I don't begrudge either of those success at the Raiders. Leilua's article gives some context to the issues he had going on with Stone, the local boys club mentality and selective approach to dealing with issues, etc. and Tapine was offered much more than we prepared to offer him - can't diss him because he took said offer...

and I think the season he and Leilua have had at the Raiders is 'what they have deserved' given their contribution to the sides success.

Tapine is going to cop a lot of that stuff in tackles if he keeps grab blokes around the neck and tries to rip their head off every time he makes a tackle. I'm surprised he hasn't been cited over it. Shannon Boyd had 3 or 4 in a row one set late in the Mlb game and no penalty was given. Canberra have definitely gone full wrestle/grub this season.
