I would do something to the rules that would result in fewer bombs at the ends of sets. I hate them. If a bomb is caught on the full by the defense inside their 20, then they get a 20 metre restart. I think they have something like this in union.

1. turmoil inside the club re: Anasta's contract, Carney's drinking issues + other rumours which shall remain uncommented.

The problem is. Every team has improved their defence from prior years. In attack teams are trying to copy the Dragons style of play & doesn't make for high scoring games.

Doesn't make them bad just different then we are used to. Most games have reasonable handling just bugger all tries

We need a free flowing team to win the comp then teams will copy that style. Then we get 1/2 of people saying no defence it's rubbish.

no the games ahve been close because the standards been shit, not ebcause the defense has been good. incompetant attacking options, no structure in attack zero communication. this is why there's been so many shit games

the game has and always will be dictated by coaches and what they choose to allow their players to do. if a coach doesnt want offloads we wont see much second phase play, if a coach doesnt like risky behaviour we wont see a lot of shifting of the ball or chips over the top.

defense has been a dominant factor for many years now but coaches really dont seemed to have worked too hard on unlocking defenses escept for the second man play....
