The GF was only 6-8 weeks ago and sadly post GF things have not gone as we would have liked or hoped or expected.

It has been a very disappointing time for many reasons and I for one never expected things were going to go so pear shaped.

I thought we were in good shape cap wise, roster wise and all things across the footy side of things I thought all was good but given everything that has happened post GF it has basically been a cluster f**k and I’m just not sure how it can be defended.

Very disappointing period after one of the greatest seasons in our history.

I'll bite what has gone so pear shaped ?

To me nothing has been unexpected.

I thought we'd struggle to keep Burton with other clubs willing, ready and able to throw huge money for him to play 2022 onwards.

I've already expressed my opinion about Mansour so I won't go over old ground.

With Crighton and the new manager, it was always going to be slow going especially when other clubs are throwing crazy money around. Is the club supposed to hold him in a small room underneath Penrith stadium hold a gun to his head and demand that he signs on the dotted line.

Laurie was down the pecking order, and in these days of salary cap keeping players like Lauire under lock and key without playing 1st grade just doesn't happen. There is talk about a swap deal with another local junior called Cini and letting him for 2021. In my humble opinion that could be a good call.

I think more than a few folks need some happy pills.......maybe it needs to be put in the water down at Penrith (it's a joke)

I knew well over 12 months that the salary cap would be tight for 2021 and 2022. Did you not read these articles and reports, it's been widely known.

Blokes like May, Lui, Critta, Yep, and yes Lenui if he stays will need to be huge upgrades especially after their 2020 season.

Hence why some players have been let go.

So you must be in the inner workings of the club then? No outsiders will know the full extend of the cap space. Keep on speculating if that makes you happy.

Last season is ancient history.

Plenty of sides have recruited well and the competition next year wont be as weak and disjointed as this year.

Will we have the same success? Not likely but the key will be to remain in the top four. Anything less will be a failure IMO.

How do you know he is outside.perhaps you should ask your connections .I defiantly back Kilkenny knowledge of what is happening in the club

Thanks for the moral support Murray. I owe you one at the Paceway some time.

I must confess my best source is no longer in the employment of Coca Cola - Amatil which is sad because he had direct lines of communication with the top brass at the club. He was the connection who told me James Maloney was off to France long before it became public knowledge and his mail was always 100% spot on he was in the know.
