And?
....

....Did Cameron say sorry for saying its Alex's fault for being droped on his head? What part of the video doesn't show where Cameron is a complete and utter f**kwit, i don't care who edited what...
The tackle happens, its an accident, a terribly coached accident, but accident nonetheless, then while alex is stretchered off smith is basically pleading that its Alex's fault for ducking in a 3 man tackle, one designed by the storm wrestling tactics to upend players to slow the ruck, the audacity to challenge a broken neck is dumbfounding
I agree with you. Correct me if I'm wrong, the tacklers were Jordan McClean, Jesse and Kenny Bromwich. All these players, are still playing, while Alex is still in a wheelchair. A sad day.

I don't care if you don't care. Incorrect information deserves to be corrected. There's enough issue with Smith to not have to lie as well. He was talking to the ref after Mckinnon was off which was why that footage was such a drama and 9 had to apologise.

Ok, but thats not in question, its what he said, about what happened to the ref, not the footage and channel 9

I understand that you don't like him, but to say he was challenging a broken neck on the field would need Smith to be a qualified Doctor and to have carried out an Xray. He is a future immortal, but even he isn't that good!

Geez really? He did a good job of actually pointing out that Alex put his head in a dangerous position, and he said that so it would take the blame off his 3 fwds, and put it onto to the attacker, who wasnt on the field to defend himself at the time, nor would he have been able to have much control when the 3 guys put him in that upheld position.... but you continue to bait me, instead of providing actual evidence of cam smith giving a shit after alex broke his spine... I'm all about cam smith being a turd for reasons that aren't related to his talent or clubs he plays for

Cam would have thought McKinnon was bunging it on to get a penalty. It's a wonder he didn't give him a shake a la Jai Arrow.

I am not trying to bait you. I'm offering balance in what is a comprehensive character assassination.

You are making statements that aren't true. Smith tried to contact McKinnon, he and his fellow Storm teammates tried to visit him in hospital. All requests for contact were refused. This is reported in several news articles.

Smith has said he would contact McKinnon privately. McKinnon has apologised to Smith for the name calling that happened after the sixty Minutes story which was slanted to portray Smith in a bad light. Your version adopts the Sixty Minutes theme that Smith is a bad person who tried to blame McKinnon for his own injury.

When Smith spoke to the ref, at this point he had no way of knowing how serious the injury was. Smith pointed out that McKinnon ducked into the tackle. Without ducking he wouldn't be injured. McKinnon has even said this himself.

It should be noted that in many collisions on the rugby field players can sometimes experience numbness and a loss of feeling. Here is an article about Charlie Gubb from the Warriors, where he got knocked out and lost feeling in his body. https://www.nrl.com/news/2016/06/02... scary for about, and then everything was numb.

There have been other incidents in league over the years. It is quite unreasonable to expect Smith to know how bad McKinnon was. Nobody knew until the Doctors could examine him at the hospital.

Incidentally, the Channel Nine network apologised to Smith publicly for their portrayal of the situation in Sixty Minutes. It was a terrible piece of biased journalism.

It was said, I wasn't randomly distracting the point. I quoted it and it wasn't you. You want to have a discussion outside that fine. I agree there are things to dislike about Smith.

Nigel Gaffey is one, the others are really tough to make out. Gaffey played two seasons with us in 1999-2000 according to Wikipedia so that may assist is you google our squad during that era.

I did pick that one.

It’s the rest that have me stumped.

Ive got three or four jerseys which are all signed but I’ve never looked into them.

Figured now was a good time.

Ivan Cleary forced to evacuate as Nepean River levels break 60-year record

Penrith coach Ivan Cleary has been forced to evacuate his Penrith home after Nepean River levels rose to a 60-year high on Sunday night.

The Panthers coach, who is living in a property owned by son Nathan while he renovates his Northern Beaches home, left the Ladbury Avenue house after the NSW State Emergency Service issued an evacuation warning to residents close to the rising river on Sunday afternoon.

Penrith chairman Dave O’Neill and the club’s welfare and education officer Shane Elford have also been evacuated.

They are just a few of several flood-related issues that have thrown Penrith’s grand final rematch preparations against the Melbourne Storm into chaos, with the club’s training fields predicted to be underwater by Monday as floods rage through western Sydney.

The running joke at Penrith is how Nathan is Ivan’s landlord, but on Sunday Ivan moved into the family’s Leonay home, which his son has been living in for the past few months, as residents west of Peach Tree Creek were asked to evacuate their properties.

Peach Tree Creek, which spills off the Nepean river, runs behind Penrith’s multimillion-dollar high performance centre. Club officials are ready for a disrupted preparation to Thursday’s showdown against Melbourne, with a number of club staff expected to be missing on Monday as they deal with the impact of the wild weather.

Penrith’s academy (pictured on Google Maps) is situated right next to the overflowing Peach Tree Creek.

Flood levels were predicted to rise well above 10 metres by 9pm on Sunday night, leaving the Panthers’ training fields in danger of being engulfed by the rising water levels shooting off the Nepean River.

The river level of the Nepean River is higher than the 1961 flood event, the most significant rain deluge in 60 years. Penrith’s academy was built in a flood zone, which is why the $22 million facility itself was elevated a couple of metres above the field level when built in 2016. The club is confident the academy will not flood, however there are concerns the club will have to base itself out of a different facility this week.

I don't know why the NRL hasn't stepped in by warning clubs and sponsors not to encourage the breaking of contracts. Just gutless I guess.

Definitely gutless when they won't take a stand against people publicly making a mockery of the integrity of the comp.
