Was a brilliant game, no doubt. Said last Thursday it’s the best game I’ve seen us put on in years.

Strangely we benefited by not having Cleary. Not to say he isn’t a good player, but more we need to find the right balance between him & Maloney. Hopefully we learn from that.

That doesn't look like hating at all? We've all been saying it was the best game in years. Did no one tell me it was opposite day?

I think it was my one good game comment. Which is true.

Anyone who’d change their view on Griffin, just because of one good game, likely didn’t have very well thought out opinions in the first place.

I hope us Griffin critics are proven wrong.

I hope so too. The first 3 games were pretty poor. Happy to get the wins and accept they were early season rust if they push on with the kind of form we saw against the Cowboys from now on consistently.

Last year we played ok in patches, beat teams below us on the ladder, and got to week 2 of the semis. Honestly though, no one here thought we were in the same league as the top 2-3 teams.

If nothing else, the Cowboys game showed that we are capable of beating anyone now, even Melbourne or Roosters. Griffin has the team he needs to win a comp, just needs to get consistency.

That away and without Cleary showed we can match anyone. Put that with beating a top 4 team from last year in round 1. The fact we aren't 2-7 to start the year shows improvement

No one will be at their best every week of the season. All comes back to realistic expectations... This is where many fans let themselves down

Yeah it's good to see that kind of improvement.

I agree. They will lose games this year guaranteed. Consistent form doesn't mean winning every game. If they play with that effort they'll win more than they lose easily and it'll be a very good season.

Ugly wins are just an important especially in the 1st 10 weeks. We had 20 fit players last week (Martin would of needed NRL approval to play) that is a huge thing. So to win in such times is a good sign. I dare say if we had another coach more people would see it for what it is

It may be a rare thing, but I actually agree with the bolded part wholeheartedly

I agree with you.

As for the coach the phrase "respect is earned not given" comes to mind. If they keep winning and improving the past will be forgotten by all his detractors.

Let's see what happens if the Raiders get to 14-0.

while our performance was not quite on the mark, we had some unlucky moments with the refs and the bounce of the ball
Not only that, but the Dogs lifted, which they do once in a while. Tonight they were abysmal, no doubt about it.

The issue for Dean Pay, as it was for Des last year, is how to get this team playing to its potential more than once a month.
