I said that and I wasn't bitching. I also just said this but it was conveniently ignored:

I was/am in the anti Griffin camp but this year is challenging my perceptions. Moylan can't get his legs right, Cartwright can't play above park footy standard. Our boys look happy, motivated, fit and are getting the job done.

The rest of 2018 will be interesting to see if the trend continues.

The conversation prior to my post was about the players responding to Hook and his coaching.

My post was about the specific players coached through the 20’s, Cup and FG that didn’t do so poorly under Hook as some would suggest.

Gillett made Origin and the kangaroos squad in 2011/2 under hook.

Norman played almost the entire season, his breakout season, at 5/8 under hook.

Beale played for NZ when under hook.

Glenn played most of the matches in 2011/12 and played for the Kiwis.

Jack Reed played under hook in 2011 and made the England squad.

McGuire played 2011/12 and made the kangaroos squad and origin.

Hoffman played 2011/12 under hook and made the NZ squad. Got dropped from the squad for tardiness at training.

Jarrod Wallace debuted under hook and he’s done alright for himself.

My point all along was that he has been involved with most of those players since the 20’s or at some point in their FG careers.

Hook failed at the Broncos, the easiest gig in coaching. I thought that was impossible to spin but here we are

I think it's fair to let him serve his 3 years before extending or judging him too harshly but I don't rate him at all.

Someone else might have mentioned it as well but I certainly said the first 3 weeks were poor.

Eels still on zero wins
Souths were winless after 2 rounds
Bulldogs only win of the year is over us
Cowboys are on 1 from 4 wins.

Today the bunnies have 2/4 wins and thats thanks to facing the shitty bulldogs. One of them had to crack a second win despite neither deserving it.

Beating teams who SHOULD have been top teams. Yes. But we have beaten shit teams in shit form and have a loss to a shit team in shit form.

We were good against Cowboys. But they were shit... and have been shit all year.

They also made the GF last season, are comp favs and were full strength. Throw in Parra were top 4 last year...

I can't remember a single person say both were bad teams prior to the comp starting. NQ will make the 8 this year regardless.

I can see both sides. They are top teams who are down on form.

The question is did we do that(Comeback win in the heat destroying parra's moral and our best game in 2 years could have made Cows look worse) or is it a problem with them clubs.
