The darkest hour is right before the dawn. 1980 was our darkest hour, losing 12 in a row and only winning 2 games, but Royce Simmons made his debut in that year, becoming a regular the following year. Soon after came Brad Izzard, then Brandy. It was a steady climb through the 80s culminating in 91.
