We rugby League fans like to eat our own!! At the moment these Storm boys have been proven to have done nothing. If it is proven they have done something illegal, then let’s talk about it then.
The NRL are about to impose sanctions it appears. Big fines, little suspensions, as seems to be the way these days. Seems enough proof for them although I'm sure it wouldn't stand up in a criminal court. Different standard of proof.

Couldn't have won. Can't win a premiership without a ball playing fullback. All the big brains agreed.
You come across as a really conceited bloke... Not saying you need to change or anything brother, just an observation.

Anyway, I finished my basic training for the Army with a broken foot, so from experience, Dyl was a f**king trooper to play with that injury - I had to dig deep to get through the 12km march with mine, he played multiple games. Kudos to him for that.

Hopefully Ivan see's our weaknesses and has a plan to fix it - The passing (or lack of) from Dyl and Momo will be addressed. I have faith (or it could just be the high I'm riding and everything has a silver lining lol).

I'm with you; I think he has earned a little faith over the past month...

Edwards career as a whole I'd say we have seen improvement in attack. Not much, but he has surprised on occasion. Far from what you want in a first grade fullback but he only has to pull the trigger on a few passes.

Who knows what another off-season can do.

I'm hoping with Nathan out Luai can spend all offseason training as a dominant half.

It'd be great to have two halves that can actually play both sides of the field.

I am a Dyl fan but that is such a BS comparison; we didn't lose that Souths game because of Critta at fullback or even Staines on the wing. The difference between the first week and last week of the finals were our forwards got on top in the last week and our kicking game was better.

As good as Critta is with open space, he was/is bang average returning the ball from fullback. Jogs sideways looking for a gap, gets man handled by 2 or 3 defenders which leads to a slow play the ball and no momentum to start our sets, much like what happened to Souths in the GF. The forwards were on the back foot front the get go.

Edwards plays week 1 and I think we win, regardless of whether Staines was on the wing or not.

Random question. Does anyone know how to get your Panthers members discount online when you order from the Panthers Shop? I tried ringing but the mailbox was full.

There’s a promo/gift card box at the payment section. I can’t remember the members code but it’s in the members pack.

No reason to believe we got Api cheap, he was only forced out because they had to pay Turbo and they thought they had a promising young hooker, it made sense. And we had to fight other clubs for his signature.
He's worth whatever we are paying him

On the other hand, he could have, and nearly did, sign with the bulldogs, and they would have offered more, I believe.

Yeah I remember I was pretty much the only one here saying that we should sign him while everyone was saying he’d be too expensive, and I fully expected that he was too expensive would be the club’s position too.(I was always a fan tbh and thought he should have been prioritised over Segs.)

I guess the point I want to make is it takes all types of signings and resignings, not just cheapies, if you got a real hole in the roster and a top 5 player in that position becomes available there then you pay and you do so happily.

I can only think of a single fan on here who thought Katoa was good enough. Hooker was a clear weakness for years, a f**king massive one

I will own up and say that I was one. He had a lot of promise, but his lack of fitness basically killed his career. He had possibly a few too many errors in him but he was (and occasionally still is) a weapon in attack. I believe that Ivan axed him because he missed too many tackles or when tired was too slow getting back in the line - leaving gaps. That and the fact that he wasn't even close to a 80 minute player meant we had to have someone on the bench who could fill in.

In saying all that I find you saying that Hooker was a clear weakness for years a slightly wierd statement. After losing Api and then Seg - we got Kingston. He wasn't exactly a standout but he was more than adequate. When Kevvy got on a bit we converted Wallace into a near Elite hooker and only age and injury forced us into looking at using Katoa for a year (2019). Maybe my memory is a bit fuzzy?

Yes and everyone was happy about the possibility of Api until numbers were thrown around and everyone went back to talking about what to do with Burton.

Hate being that guy after winning the f**king comp but Dyl killed a heap of backline moves last night. He doesn't trust himself to pass.

Critter is also a million times better on the right and has to play there if he's not playing fullback

I still want to see him be injury free for an extended period to judge. The back end of 2019 he was starting to come along but really had a series of annoying niggling injuries since.

Cricton made Mansour look like a star last year. Him and To'o will be huge together
