Yeah was enjoyable. Hearing simple stuff like we don't pay bonuses was nice to hear
Year after year player options and bonus' stuff clubs up... yet the dumbasses still do it

I understand why he didn't say it but he f**ked up with Critter
It was Pete, I was glued to it yesterday. Do you or anyone know what school he taught at? Patrician Brothers Blacktown?
The Bulldogs offer was an offer we couldn’t get near given our position so I don’t think he or anyone else f**ked up. Business decision.I understand why he didn't say it but he f**ked up with Critter

I can’t remember the words used by Matt Cameron but it was obvious we were in no position to get close to what the Bulldogs were prepared to offer. As history shows we won another premiership without Crichton, Lenui and quite a few other fringe players So I guess the club was proven right. That is also assuming that the Dogs wouldn't have kept going. There is reasons not to get into bidding wars

Yes and no. May was never going to cut it as a centre, gun winger though and Alamoti was cheap. I'd say we paid more for Tago/May than we would have for Critter and a kid.The Bulldogs offer was an offer we couldn’t get near given our position so I don’t think he or anyone else f**ked up. Alamoti should continue to get better as will both MCLeans so I think the decision has been vindicated. It’s never easy to lose home grown supreme talents but it is what it is I guess. We could of matched it but it would of cost us other players. That is the flow on.
Taylan was a bust but Alamoti turned out decent enough.
Also got to keep McLean and bring across Talagi so we may end up with 3 very very good NRL players for the price of Crichton

Alls well that ends well i guess.
If only we never allowed any merkin Mays at the club......Possibly don't re-sign Sorro too.
So it is more than a centre for Critta
I think Taylan May had huge potential as a player, but as things turned out his off field indiscretions probably did us a favour going forward. Having regard to the concept of risk and reward the risk around him outweighed his worth to the team, club and culture.Yes and no. It’s not as if it’s actually had any adverse impact, we have been able to recover and move on.If only we never allowed any merkin Mays at the club......

I don’t see how you can draw any conclusion that it was a stuff up on the part of the club. That is the stuff up the club made. Ivan should be excused from discussions revolving around Nathan's childhood friends.
He was very impressive.Matt Cameron impressed me. Thoughtful, measured, calm. No hollywood style bullshit leadership, but substance and intelligence.
Ivan and Matt must be two of the calmest, intelligent leaders in the NRL. It must instill so much confidence in the players. Nothing good comes from emotional decision making and panic.
The club is in good hands.

Individuals have to take ownership of their decisions or actions.
The club make recruitment and retention decisions based on many reasons, and I fail to see how they could have foreshadowed what played out with Taylan Mays situation. Not much different to the current issues around Mam at the Broncos.
How do you factor in future player indiscretions when making decisions around there retention and worth.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, we got off lightly with Taylan May, the Broncos May not be so fortunate with Mam.
