And then extends his contract, only to terminate it early!
Realising you've made a mistake and correcting it isn't a bad thing though.
Sunk cost fallacy and all that.

Yep, one conversation and it was done. 1st goal kicked in fine style. The first thing Gus did here was fire Matt Elliott. No bullshit, just walked in and fired him. He will forever deserve credit for turning us around on that basis even if he did nothing else.
Agree. What Gus did for this club is something that I will ever be grateful for.I always thought the criticism of Gus was that he did well here but was getting a bit weird at the end so a change was needed.
He said from day 1 that the plan was to make himself redundant, which is kind of how it played out.I always thought the criticism of Gus was that he did well here but was getting a bit weird at the end so a change was needed.
With Perth coming in for 2027 who are we a chance of having poached? I honestly don't want to lay the boot in but this is a good chance to move on overpaid/underperforming players... yes our right centre is someone we should be looking to move on if possible here.
I think Haas will be the Bears number 1 target
Here we go again we are about to be raped again. There should be compensation for developing players for OTHER clubs!
isIn the NHL when a new team comes in they have a thing called the Expansion Draft.
Basically all existing teams can select 2 players from their squad to lock down. These players are off limits.
All other players in the competition have their salaries revealed, and the new team can select any 2 players from each team to form their squad (as long as they stay within the salary cap).
Probably wouldn't get passed the NRLPA here, but it's a much fairer system IMO, and also gives the new team a genuine opportunity to be competitive from Day 0.
Periodisation boys.
Dogs can't keep winning games. It was going to burst eventually.
Might be the making of their season.
To be fair. The broncs have been unstoppable. Its been the best footy ive seen this year and its pouring.
The Dogs have had a very soft first 6 weeks. St George Titans Eels Sharks Knights Rabbits. It's been coming. No Walsh either which may have helped. Too many chefs in the kitchen?
They are absolutely a contender. Dogs are too if they keep staying in games. Tonight is an exception.
