This is also great. Hasn't luke Lewis improved his communication skills. I understand upon retiring he sought out some special expertise via vocal training (at his own expense) I admire this.

I enjoy his commentary on ABC Grandstand. He has great banter with Andrew Moore and Gibbs.
Provides good insights and you can tell the Panther is still in him.

This has probably been talked about before but I'm going to put my tin foil hat on and discuss my conspiracy theories.

Manly - play like busteds for 3 weeks, coach gets sacked then win convincingly the next 3 weeks.
Coincidence or a team "laying down" to get the coach they wanted knowing before hand that Seibold only had limited weeks for success and Foran would be appointed?

St George-Illawarra - look to be doing exactly the same thing as well as getting the current squad offside with dumb statements from the current coach like "Kyle is the best half back at the club" and telling 2, albeit senior players, who both have played SOO, they are not wanted. Salary cap problems or not, they just offered a fullback a million dollars a year for 3 years after paying well over worth for a broken down Gutho from the most under achieving club in the comp.
With no real stop gap coach that fans will like, let's face it, they don't like Dean Young, the inept management there is persisting with Flanno while getting worse results every week.

This is just my observations from what I have seen over years and years of rugby league clubs dramas and politics. Not much change at some clubs.

The trouble is it's every other year Anthony Seibold turns up at a club and within a short time ruins it and gets paid out and Shane Flanagan is not far behind.

The good bloke, nice guy theory just doesn't work anymore.

I love it whenever I flick on the radio and hear him. As you say, he exudes love for our club, it is apparent to all even on the radio.

I’m not sure Flanno is a nice guy style “coach”. He is an old school, hard case coach by all accounts. Flanno is at his second club, but he has inherited a terrible roster and hasn’t managed to recruit any decent players. It is impossible to build a good team if recruitment, contract management (including salary cap) and junior development is badly managed. Us Panther’s fans know all about that. Remember the Burns - KIngston - Walsh spine, topped off with our captain/prop having the biggest contract at the club.

I need two Panadol, just thinking about the ME years…..

Didn't Flanagan have something to do with Manly as well? Maybe he's the KOD at whatever he touches.
Could even be Ennis. Clubs seem to stagnate when he gets involved too!! Raiders, Manly, Dragons, all have Ennis stink on them.

Its funny how a switch can sometimes be flicked after a coach is sacked. Maybe the players are trying to impress their new coach, or maybe they switched off under the old coach. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. Probably some players clock off because the coach is a prick. Or an Idiot.

Jason Taylor and Brad Fittler both got bounces. Most others failed or burnt out.

I never rated Seebold. Never understood the 1 season hype at Souffs.
Plenty say he is a good smart analyst. Maybe that should be his role. In front of a computer watching rival teams. Looking for advantages. Coming up with plays. He tells the head coach what he finds out. A good head coach filters out his crap.

The Dragons have been a rabble for some time. Appalling recruitment Poor coach appointments. Poor retention. The only good thing they have is quality juniors. But they usually lose them.
The Old Jack Gibson quote rings true. Winning starts in the front office. They do the opposite.
A pencil has more points than them at the moment.

Thinking of going to the game vs Manly. Whats parking like for commbank? No chance I'm doing public transport with the kids.

If you look on google maps there are a bunch of streets east of the stadium (Elizabeth street, Sorrell street etc). All of them are a 10-15 minute walk over to the stadium. If you go early you will probably be able to park even closer to the ground.

You can also try the parking lot near the stadium. It will be a smaller crowd on Sunday at 6.00pm. Multi-storey carparks in a big match are a disaster but maybe not a big issue against Manly.

I would avoid the carpark at all costs. It will take you an hour to get out of there. Even last year when we played the cowboys it took forever to get out. The side streets are the best option

Cherry picked fact we have only beaten one other team in top 8(so far). We were complaining about the draw preseason.
Lol...yes, but we have beaten 2 of last years Top 4 along with 5th and 8th. We were complaining probs because we were facing 7 of the final Top 8 in the first 10 rounds of this season..

There you go.

I haven't been back to the carpark since the disaster against the Roosters last year. Felt like more than an hour trying to leave that night.
