Didn't they decide that Amos was the better fullback?Because Hornby was a better fullback.

Interesting question. Players come and go to other teams and whether or not he left us on a sour note, someone in the know might like to answer this. Why does The General hold a grudge anyway.
I think we decided that both were better than Patten.Didn't they decide that Amos was the better fullback?

Yes, Amos Roberts became our fulltime fullback in 2000 and in 2001, Patten went to the Bulldogs for 10 years.Didn't they decide that Amos was the better fullback?

Say it enough on here then most will believe these things are true. No evidence that he has a grudge just the same as Alexander has it in for us.Why does The General hold a grudge anyway.
Do you know for sure that sponsors have objected and don't care about innocence until proven guilty ? I'm sure the club would explain the circumstances ( no proof other than one word against another ) . There is also the broader issue of sponsors sticking their noses into the running of the club particularly when the club has followed the NRL guidelines.I doubt Burgess will be playing at all with us again unless he is found to not be guilty of the charges laid against him. Sponsors won’t allow it. In all honesty if he ends up being found guilty I’d rather not have someone like that playing for the club ever again, let’s just hope justice is served.
We dropped him after he let in tries by not killing the ball in our ingoal for the second or third time. From memory that was pretty much the end of himI think we decided that both were better than Patten.
Hornby and Patten were at similar stages of their career playing similar roles in the roster. No point keeping both.
I doubt very much that he has a grudge. I lay the blame at the leet of the coaching staff who should be insisting on and practicing every day.Say it enough on here then most will believe these things are true. No evidence that he has a grudge just the same as Alexander has it in for us.
Well if the NRL is allowing him to play then the sponsors can you know what…..I doubt Burgess will be playing at all with us again unless he is found to not be guilty of the charges laid against him. Sponsors won’t allow it. In all honesty if he ends up being found guilty I’d rather not have someone like that playing for the club ever again, let’s just hope justice is served.
Have you caught up on the latest news on the latest player to be stood down for 2yrsI doubt Burgess will be playing at all with us again unless he is found to not be guilty of the charges laid against him. Not sure how many times this needs repeating.Have you caught up on the latest news on the latest player to be stood down for 2yrs
Re: charged with sex assault & then found NOT GUILTY
I think he was talking about Tristan Salor.. He was found not guilty today. Not sure how many times this needs repeating.
JDB wasn’t found not guilty.
My apologies @slippery5I think he was talking about Tristan Salor.. He was found not guilty today.
I just don't get the Ford selection. If Burgess is fit then why not put him in the starting lineup. Go with the big ones first and with JDB at lock which is his specialised position to cover defend. We need players who can defend for the majority of the first half where we have problems and allowing teams to score against us. In fact, we need our guys to put in good defence all game.
My hope is that we do not have any binning of our players in the game (I wouldn't mind a couple of Eels guys though). The past two games we lost Su'a in the first half which started the rot. This is a game in which Hook has got to get the players to play with better discipline.
Burgess needs to be in the team. It is not a trial match
He was found not guilty on one of the counts. Not sure how many times this needs repeating.
JDB wasn’t found not guilty.
It was not guilty on one count and no verdict on the other five. There's a range of different, separate charges in most sexual assault cases. It simply means there wasn't enough evidence for the jury to determine either innocence or guilt on five counts but there was enough to reach a verdict of innocence on one count. It effectively means: 1 not guilty and 5 other charges dropped. That's the legal process completed, done, dusted, finished and put away in a locked cupboard in a store room for ever and ever, amen.He was found not guilty on one of the counts.
How you find him not guilty on one count of what was an alleged unbroken assault is beyond me.
I'm aware that there is a range of charges. It was not guilty on one count and no verdict on the other five. There's a range of different, separate charges in most sexual assault cases.
