As in #1 centre ever my friend.

Lol.... mate id rate simmos fine performance in the centres ahead of your new found friends.... what about the great adrian brunker? Or John Schuster? Bring them back, id have them all ahead of carmont, and some of those guys would be pushing at least 40, if not 50 by now

What a joke!

I thought the only person who thought that George was a good player was Troy, but his blindness can be blaimed on the fact he's a Dragons supporter!

I genuinely feel sorry for him -- he's trying hard, and he had big wraps on him when he arrived at the club. For the first part of his first-grade career he was a pretty interesting commodity -- he had a bit of rawness to him that many thought might translate to a solid little first grade career, with a bit of experience under his belt.

But his second year in the top grade has really only proven one thing: his defence is pretty b***** awful. I suspect that any dossier compiled by another side about Newcastle would include a note next to Carmont "susceptible to one-on-one missed-tackles". It's a harsh reality to face, especially when George could conceivably read comments like the ones I'm making.

Unfortunately, we can be pleasant about is as much as we want. It changes nothing. We really need to look at getting someone else in there, because it is, without exaggeration, costing us tries and ultimately games. Given we've been losing by close margins a fair bit lately, I'd say we ought to be looking at obvious candidates for phasing-out.

The real tragedy is that there is a really exciting centre chomping at the bit for more opportunities in first grade -- Brad Tighe has done everything right in my books..... except have incriminating photos or whatever it is keeping Carmont in first grade. What's even more tragic is that other players have left to go to other clubs for the same reasons that Tighe could put forward: "you just won't give me a go in the top grade". If there's one thing we should have learned from the likes of Ennis and Morris it's that players need to know that if they perform well, they'll be rewarded with something better..... a regular spot in first grade, a position that is theirs.

What a shame we're wasting talent. :?

Well in my mind he should never have been promoted to the centre's. Obviously hagan is seeing something that where not. I rate him but only as a winger. And he has the attributes to be a winger.

2. Carmont
3. Tighe

I got nothing against Carmont but he's really bad, our version of Chris Walker except minus the pace and double the incompetence.

Im a big fan of George Carmont`s I`m not going to lie about it.... The thing you guys have missed is, not only has he scored the MOST TRIES, for your team this season. BUT when he`s scored you guys have nearly won games. Sure he might not be the greatest defender in the game.... theres lot of players who are great try scorers but were sh!thouse tacklers........................... one comes to mind from my club who`s now at English Super League club Hull.. (Nathan Blacklock) no one gave two sh!ts that he couldn`t tackle but was the most prolific try scorer in the NRL when he played.

So before you guys bag Carmont out? why don`t you think what he`s brought to the club in the way of try scoring ability also? otherwise, you get out there and have a f!cken go

Sign me up Knight82, George Carmont fan club member #3.

George can score tries and pull off wearing a pony tail without getting belted up. He also puts in 100% every game, I've never seen him kick the ball on the 1,2,3,4,5th tackle unlike another centre I know. Sure he's missed some tackles which have made me cringe, but the effort has always been there which is enough for me.

Go George!!!!!!!!!!

Mate i`m his #1 fan right here, I think he`s a wonderful player!

I apologise John Travolta but I am, and am also the President of his fan club.

But the position of Vice President is still up for grabs.
