Like I said elsewhere, McCrone doesn't deserve anything but praise. Was a risky play that could have won us the game. Would have wished he played safer. Then again I wish Frizell had have opted to run with the wind. Shows the value of Widdop, but I don't think McCrone deserves to be blasted after an 8o minute effort like that.

McCrone does not deserve critism for the way he played. Widdop's. injury was a hugh loss.
He chanced his hand and praise to him for trying that kick was only a whisker away from being a great kick.
We played a great game, a fair result would have been a draw. But rules are rules.

I'm sorry, Mann was on the bench and should have been familiar with the game plan and prepared to take his place at five-eighth. If he wasn't ready than Mary is equally to blame but I recon his nerves got the better of him. Anyway I saw enough to find myself wishing Field was on the bench instead.
