I remember Boof saying something similar about a year ago after he had thrown his wicket away twice when a bit of maturity was required and he was dropped from the test side.

He wont change any time soon. He is just a decent hitter in the short versions of the game.

He talks about his natural game. Doesn't mean you try to show off in tests when it keeps failing for you.

Should take a look at Warner's measured aggressive test batting. Plays his natural game but mostly controlled with some good defensive shots. Still Warner has a strike rate of 70-75.

Maxwell is all for himself and not his team mates.

In the T20 the other night the way Maxwell got out was irresponsible.

TBH it was poor batting and a bit of a fluke from Smith though, not one reverse sweep in his entire innings and he waited until he was set to start going the tonk. What was he thinking? Does he even have any toys?

secondly, Brayshaw has absolutely no idea when it comes to commentary. I was watching the other night and sure we were 1-200 or something like that but we were never ever going to get to 380 as he predicted, as it turned out we were lucky to get to 320 after Smith played some great shots
