That said I don't see why anyone from the GC has any reason to complain. The B-S comparisons to American teams for other mascots is utterly ridiculous. These are two teams within a couple of hundred km's of each other, one who just grabbed a random name, the other with loads of history. It's much of a muchness but it's all said and done now, so quit whinging about it DH.

This whole thing is laughable. Especially that comment. If there WILL be another Brisbane team - there WONT be one for the next 10 years at LEAST either way. If not 30. If ever- it WONT be Redcliffe.


It'll be the South-East QLD something. Or Brisbane Central. Or Southern QLD something. Or whatever.

So it would be between Pirates, Bulls, Titans and Gladiators.

News Limited succeeded because of gullible, ignorant morons like you.

Now the arrogant GC "Dolphins" should change their name to the GC Murdochs or the GC Ruperts - because they have a far inferior bid but the NRL and News Limited press are cheering them on at every turn.

Now that the name issue is settled, the fabulous GC bid only has a few gaps to cover:
1. $50 million to fund a stadium;
2. Where will the stadium be built;
3. where do they get money to last them beyond the first year;
4. How do they improve their overall crowd averages of around 7,000 from the last time(s) they were in the comp;
5. Demographics - How do they convert lifelong AFL fans into rugby league followers when it is Mexicans flooding into the area.

For the first time, why don't you address the real issues and show how inferior the GC bid is compared to the CC Bears. Time to prove you're not just some blowhard Manly idiot like Cliffy.
