Good luck in winning a title under Mary

I know we don't agree on Nightingale but some of the things he did tonight were incredible.
Two spiralling bombs he defused while Dufty was shitting himself for a start.
Must be very comforting for Dufty having someone like Nightingale watching out for him;
He also picked up loose balls, diffused a number of dangerous situaitons, made great reads in defence and yes dropped one high ball while having the where for all to try and get a 20m re-start.
Big occasions bring out the best in champions. This was on show again tonight.
I agree with Aitkin but Lafai is looking better ever week.
We need Mann on the field for longer minutes.
He was great and adds a lot to our performance in both attack and defence.

Everything you just said.
Except Lafai, he dropped it three times yesturday.
Aitken was well contained by Mitchell, but then he contained Mitchell pretty well too.
Aitken needs to be told to run straight, use his strength, and learn to bloody pass.

I think there would be a number of clubs that would like to have a coach who has his team performing well enough to win 7 out of 8 games. Whether we win the title this year is an unknown but this team roster is in it infancy and is virtually together for the next few years. If the players can stay fit the odds are Mary will become a NRL premiership coach.

If Mary was on the open market today, there would be no interest from the other 15 clubs. Just look at his record.

And the strong odds are Mary will never coach a team to a premiership.

Are you starting to believe?

Not with this coach or outside backs.

The Richmond Tigers coach was very much loved by the Fans, similar situation to McGregor, they ended up winning the comp.
Ian Millward won a comp with St Helen's he has recruited extremely well, just maybe with the short term pain we have experienced may end up being long term joy, maybe the Dragons have got the right setup now.
Our Desires may end up manifesting into Reality, don't kill the feeling of being premiers for 2018!

Even OV is starting to believe...
He's come a long way from "never" to "the strong odds are..."

Team going great guns. We need X factor out wide. Might be wrong but as good as Flo plays at times can't see him in premiership winning side. Got shown up badly in their try and some near line movements by us. I think we are going to be in the mix but weather we have all the boxes ticked to win it, I don't know.

Most concerning for me was the coaches call to play the 17th man for 7 minutes when the game was over.A game where there was a lot of fatigue by both sides from the middle of the fist half. With that sort of logic and game plan was he using ? This X factor can only come from within but he refuses to use the youth the club has invested in. Then again we have had a dream start with injuries so perhaps when we do get the inevitable run as well as rep duties we will know but giving them more game time might help choose which ones are selected.

To suggest that Nightingale's selection is the difference between winning the comp or not - is absurd.
Nightingale is not our main problem.
Use of the bench is a major concern, and our long kicking game is still not up to scratch.
I still find it disconcerting that Mann is not in the run on side. He is a better payer than both Aitkin and Lafai and can also play wing.
Mann was great yesterday and adds a lot to the equation when he comes on.
I also do not understand why Host only got 7 minutes. The kid tore in when he finally got a chance.

Agree re Nighty, but not on Mann. Aitken and Lafai are at least equal and I think better specialist centres. His role as used in the middle I like more every week. Giving Jack a breather is working well, and the option is either Mann or Sele, and Mann is quicker, better footwork and ball skills that really opens up options for us. If Mann starts at wing, centre, half due to injury origin etc that’s great, but right now leave it as is.
The bench and minutes is a fair concern, but not major. I’d have liked Host to come on for Frizz a bit earlier, give him 15 or so.
The other minutes were
Jack 58 and Mann 22
Vaughan and graham 47
AhMau and Latimore 33.
Which is pretty right, though I reckon 40 each for Ah Mau and graham is probably better. But Vaughan is easily capable of playing 45-55 each week.

People will never be happy. I watched that game yesterday and was super proud. We defended so well and looked dangerous in attack. We had options galore, running, set plays, kicks...it was all there. Yes there were errors, dropped balls etc but it was an intense tough game.
Then I read the forum. I couldn't believe it. People attacking nightingale saying he must go. People attacking Ben Hunts kicking game (ffs). People attacking the use of the bench, aitken is shit again? Dufty is too small again?
I had a moment of clarity. This place feeds off negativity. Misery loves company.
We could make the Grand Final and lose and people would be attacking the club, coaches and players, I am sure of it.
We just beat Roosters after beating sharks twice. We have lost one tight game in 2 months of football.
Lighten the f**k up!!!

The Warriors, despite all the changes made in personel and fitness, always seem to have it in them to get flogged.
They panic, it all goes pear shaped and they drop thier heads.
This year, the dragons don't have that mindset.

No Shaun Johnson, Solmona Kata, and Tohu Harris. Then they lose Luke after 15 mins.

We gassed them last week, 5 day turn around and travelling to Melb.

They were on a hiding to nothing.

Storm are in for a shock if they think they will get it that easy next week. In fact, an easy win for them last night plays into our hands.

Does anyone remember the Cowboys backline in 2015?

1. Coote
2. Feldt
3. O'neill
4. Linnett
5. Winterstein

Our backline is at least 4 times better. Too many people with stupid opinions.

Our bench rotation is fine, I'm yet to see any negative repercussions from Mary's bench use. Stop finding negatives out of nothing.

There's no difference between 2nd and 16th. So yes, if we made the grand final and lost I'd still want Mr Potato Head sacked. Play to win.

Aside from what Hunt adds to the team, the acquisition of Graham has been huge. He represents everything that Potato Head lacks, in particular leadership qualities. This is best displayed in his two grand final losses with the Dogs, where he tossed his runners up medallion in disgust. PLAY TO WIN.

Oh, and Mary has grown as a coach.

He wasn't up to scratch in previous years and had severe problems, but he has shown the capacity and willingness to learn and grow from previous mistakes, and trust me there were a lot of mistakes.

One area where Mary has always excelled in is keeping the locker room and getting the boys to play for him and the club week in week out. He's lacked tactically and strategically, but he's learned more about that side to his coaching and is constantly adding more strings to his bow. Not to mention his recruitment had been excellent.
