Hi everyone, just looking for any info on the players representing Tonga. We have the pleasure of hosting the game between a Cumbrian select against the mighty Tonga at Workington Towns Derwent park ground. There is a buzz going round the town for this game, and a lot of Cumbrian fans are relishing seeing the top Tongan stars from the Bartercard and in aussie. Our coach Gerard stokes will be on his way back home for a months break,it has been a hard season for his club with results not going his way.but he has worked hard to try and rectify that but overall it would have been a disappointing season for Ged.Some fans were naturally a bit disappointed but the loss of two major players for town in Johnny limmer, and lusi Sione who are back with the Bulls, and who are going great guns for them were cited as the reason for towns sudden demise to the lower end of the league. They were quality players for the club with 50 tries being scored between them, and with not replacing them the boys lost the momentum.Tanne Lavulavu has been a disappointment to Town fans after such a good start, injuries to his foot contributed to some poor performances from Tanne.(jt) John Tuimalauega (forgive me if i have spelt johns name wrong) started his spell at the club like a tornado,he was knocking them down like a pinball alley, but he came home for a short break and returned a different person and he has since suffered some real bad performances of late. The good news for Town fans is that Jt is now pounding the roads looking to get fully fit for the new season, and believe me a fully fit Jt is a real bonus to any front row in the country. The great majority of townies would love to see Johnny limmer back in the blue and white next season along with Lusi,at town we have always had an ifinity with the NZ boys and we have had some real good ones over the years,Shane Varley and Johnny Lomax were two of my hero's.Anyway best wishes to all NZ fans from Workington, hope Gerard and family have a good break and come back to town fully refreshed and ready to go. Oh and maybe with a couple of good young bucks to set the Town on fire again.Cheers everyone from Cumbria, the home of the famous Workington Town.:p :p :p
