Not trolling at all.
Simply made the point that offloading Mason was a mistake then people got defensive about it, so i stated my reasoning.
I think Dave Taylor could be the punt Newcastle need. They need size. Dave IS size. Origin rep player on the outer.
Neil Henry cant get the best out of him, and if Rick Stone is the coach people say he is surely he has to back himself to extract the inner beast within.

Theres potential there, hes just lazy.
Besides, who else would be available at the moment?

What kind of coach do these people say Rick Stone is?

If I were Rick Stone, Taylor is the last forward I would gamble my career on. Every time you think he has got it together he just slacks off, puts on weight, and carries on like an arse. Bennett said himself that the bloke is a nightmare to coach. the NRL needs to bring in an evaluation system for players to protect clubs getting rorted by player managers. Taylor is on 500 k a season to play QLd cup.

I think Sims is playing as well at prop as Mason played last year. Not having Mason allows the club a place in the team to blood youngsters.

Taylor has played origin, but is he of origin quality? The last origin game that he played he stunk to high heavens and may have even been hooked during the game for his poor performance. In his other origin games he has been very ordinary overall.

My reply was directed at other knights people on this forum and not you as you do appear to be trolling. If you are serious then :lol::lol:

Did Bennett realy say that?
And how was the context?

I'm not here to defend Taylor and say he is the best thing sine sliced bread.

Hes a little bit like the other Taylor, Brendan Taylor of zimbabwe cricket.
All the talent, but gets fat and lazy. Brilliant in patches, then falls asleep in others.
Then Dav Whatmore comes to the party and hes the 2nd highest run scorer the last world cup at the group stages.
Playing in england and topping the county run scene.

Dave Taylor is a player with the ingredients.
Roll the dice.

A show stopper.
A thinker, a man who understands Newcastle,
More importantly, a man that understands his players intimately and knows how to get the best out of them.

Leilua said he had another falling out with Stuart in pre-season, when he was left behind in Canberra for being overweight.

The rest of the top 30 squad travelled to the Sunshine Coast for a training camp.

This was always bound to happen with Leilua, the bloke is an absolute peanut. Admits he was overweight but just makes excuses and doesn’t seem to understand the demands of being a professional athlete and then acts like the coach is in the wrong for holding him accountable. While I would’ve liked to see the raiders beat the roosters in the GF last year I was rather pleased that it was Leilua who butchered that try that probably would have won them the game. What an idiot.

my thoughts exactly. No surprises his departure from the Raiders is similar to leaving the Knights and yes if anyone was going to cost his team the game it was going to be him.
