Gower wants out

Caged Panther

By Danny Weilder and earlier by Channe 10. The two most credible sources in rugby league!

Seriously though if true Gower is a fool. He does something wrong he gets punished and then carries on like a child because he doesn't like the punishment. If that his attitude then bye bye...

Sports tonights big SCOOP just informed us that Panther halfback wants an immediate release from his contract.

Gower and his manager, Greg Fillet of fish, were both unreachable for comment........figures.

If this is BS, as i think it may be, Ch10 and Sports tonight need to have a good look at themselves, f**k me, anyone would think Weildler has jumped ship and srung into 10's camp..

...by Danny Wiedler.

Not enirely convinced yet. But still, quite concerning.

But the dust will settle hopefully in the next couple of days, and we'll know the true story then (hopefully).

We would have a combination of Wallace and Campbell, one that has only played one game (Raiders in Canberra last year).

Not one to strike fear into the opposition. We could win games with it, but could struggle, definitely.

Imagine the Panthers without Gower and Campbell next year.

We could cope without Presto (Wallace is a great prospect), but both of them... geez.

Whoever the Cougars number 7 is this year really has to step up.

I only caught the end of Weidlers report, did he say something like ''Melbourne would be prepared to sign Gower'' if he were released.?

Does he reckon he would have been treated any differently at any other nrl club? The old dart is my guess.

Would the Storm even have room under the cap for him? I wouldn't think a club would have that much room to move under the cap only weeks away from Round 1. Enjoy the cold Craig.

Not to mention the fact that having a change at halfback, of all possies, would be a bit of a disruption just weeks before the start of the season.

Mmmm yeh good point.

NEW Penrith skipper Tony Puletua says it is ridiculous to suggest there is a problem with Craig Gower over the captaincy and declared if his teammates didn't want him to lead them he would quit the job. Puletua was reacting to a story claiming Gower was angry with him for making himself available for the captaincy.............

Melbourne must be desperate if theyre prepared to bring in a player at this stage of the season, a player in THE key position.
