Ticketek was selling based on the reduced seating layout, although actual works did not commence until after the grand final had been played.I thought the capacity had been reduced by then?

I collected them out of your letterbox a few weeks ago...Has anyone got their tickets in the mail?
I bought mine months ago but they have not arrived. Should I be worried?
Message me your credit card details including address, DOB and CCV number and I'll see what I can do.
Private message or just post straight up here?
Thanks for the only helpful reply, yes the tickets were loaded on Ticketek this morning so can I can scan in on my phone.I bought mine in the presale back in June, they turned up last month. Suggest you give Ticketek a call to find out what's going on.
But isn't Jamberoo only about 130 kilometres south of Sydney??If this site is representative of RL fans in Sydney, the game is doomed.

Having been to AFL GFs, where hard copy tickets have to be collected in person by the Credit Card holder with ID to reduce scalping I assumed NRL would be the same, I was ignorant about how little interest there is in RL in Sydney (AFL GF tickets are going for $2K+ and I can't even offload my spare NRL ticket for face value).

Just responding in the tome of the replies to my OP. Yes we know all that.An AFL fan who can't wait to take pot shots at rugby league, how original.
AFL is more popular and has bigger crowds. You won't find many rugby league fans arguing this. So that is a large reason for the disparity in ticket demand.
But you also have the fairy tale of the two teams with the longest AFL GF droughts, one from Melbourne and one from nearby AFL Mad Adelaide. A perfect storm.
How would the demand be for GWS vs Fremantle, which is probably a reasonable comparison game. Less?
And if we had say Parramatta vs Canberra (two long droughts, in rugby league heartlands, comparable distances) would the demand be NRL be higher than current? Yes.
Our GF has two interstate teams, one with a smalll loyal following in an AFL mad city, the other a passionate base but who are being charged $1000-2000 for flights.
Apples and oranges
I originally went on this forum to get my RL news and fix. I find that many posters have a chip on their shoulder, are obsessed with AFL bashing and continually post rubbish about AFL or about Melbourne. I feel the need to correct that.Bloody afl fans. Even when they aay they are going to an nrl game they still find a way to bring up the afl. Its like a cult.
Jamberoo is where my ancestors came from who they played RL for. I have lived my whole life in Melbourne. I follow both codes. Lots of people like soccer and RL, or RU and RL, but on this site you cannot like AR and RL.But isn't Jamberoo only about 130 kilometres south of Sydney??

And AFL is more like a religion than cult. I grew up in the 1970s & 80s when RL was the same.
AFL fans are like vegans. Can't go more than a few minutes without mentioning it, think it makes them superior for supporting it and generally are a bunch of annoying over the top merkins.I originally went on this forum to get my RL news and fix. You were the first to bring up AFL, in an effort to bag the NRL and to insult those who follow it, and it's everyone else on the rugby league forum with the chip on their shoulder?I originally went on this forum to get my RL news and fix.
