I think I see a pattern emerging.

Yep-as Kenny Rogers sang about the Gambler, you've got to know when to hold em and know when to fold em..... A good coach has to know when to do nothing because factors other than player effort and ability contributed to a loss, when players are too comfortable and need a rev up -perhaps even a public shaming- to effect improvement (as Bellamy did before the Eels game) and when a team is beyond talk / threats /public shaming because some simply aren't up to it and personnel changes have to be made. Mary seems unwilling to move from the first to the other two stages to me and therefore is an ineffectual man manager.

Of course man management is important but just one area of coaching, Mary falls down even worse on tactics and preparation. This emperor simply has no clothes.

Once in a while we should put aside the issues re football and just recognise a good deed.
There is no need for any negativity or innuendo re this thread and it should simply be taken for what it is "a good news story".
Kudos to all concerned and I am really glad to see that kind things still happen in this world.

Good guy doesn't cut as our coach for success. Dragons need to move on and change our future as we are struggling to compete as a top 4 team.
