Just been watching some of the raiders golden days on youtube and had the thought. If you could nominate a version of your team to play in the greatest comp of all time which would it be.

As a raiders fan for me its 1994 Raiders

I would love to see the 1998 Broncos and 2007 Storm in the same comp. Im not saying who'd win it but imagine the footy week in week out?

what teams do you reckon would be suited?

Eels from 81-86 was a pretty awesome team, but the 11 in a row Dragon would be hard to beat.

86 Eels for me
For me it's the 82 Eels.

Demolished the comp winning the minor premiership by 8 points. 619 For (and only 242 against) in an era where tries were 3 points.

Smashed Manly in the GF, leading 16-3 at half time (equivalent of 20-4 now). Cronin, Ella and Kenny tore holes in Manly whenever they had the ball, and at both ends of the paddock - they weren't afraid to throw it around inside their own quarter.

Entire backline except Paul Taylor represented NSW, Cronin was still going strong, Ella was at his peak, Hunt and especially Taylor were horribly underrated. Kenny, Grothe and Sterling were, well, Kenny Grothe and Sterling - say no more.

We had tough front rowers, one workhorse second rower and a ball-playing second rower who could kick in Muggleton, a great captain at Hooker and the legendary Ray Price at lock.

Awesome team.

I'd enter the 1998 Broncos for sure, but the 1992 mob wouldn't be far behind. Two fantastic years.

Cowboys 2004, I say 2004 as opposed to 2005 because the 2004 Cowboys did not fear anyone.

The 2004 Cowboys had a much better attitude than the 05 counter part but the 05 squad was surely superior with the introduction of Thurston.
