Who's that bloke who played for Souths and was unfortunate to only get one chance to showcase his skills for the Blues... he was so fast that his name escapes me just now.

Nah, Merritt was shit, it was Ziggy Niszczot I was thinking of.. he actually played 2 origins and bagged 2 tries... Merritt did play just the 1, thankfully, and shat the bed.Nathan Merritt best position was fullback. He only played winger because Greg Inglis in his prime was too good there. I remember in a game when Inglis got injured, Merritt was moved to fullback against the Tigers and he tore them apart.

Could score a try better than just about anyone I've seen.Offiah.
Didn't do much here but he was a proper winger who knew how to find the line.
Lote Tuqiri it's a shame that his best years were wasted in union.
Michael O'Connor would probably would have to be up there, but I admit that I only saw him at the end of his career with Manly and was too young to see him from his years at St George.
Merrit wasn't shit. He was a good club man, he just wasn't in the realms of state of origin ability.
