Ohhh my god...
What about Bowen?
Sing?
Farkin even Schifoske and Wesser should be in there!

Bowen...5'7 vs Grothe or King 6'3. Hmmm lets bomb to Bowens wing...lets pass the ball to the wingers so we can palm him off into row 13.

Sing...retired!!!!!!!!! Do you even follow league??????????????

Wesser/Schifcofske...they are fullbacks and would be exposed on the wing.

karmichael hunt, brent tate and adam mogg would have to be close to the worst back 3 combination in origin history.

picking a winger on the wing, could only be a good thing
in my opinion

now they just need a prop on the bench and they should go alright

Hardly the worst mate, and im sure you'll say the worst because of mogg being there, but, in hindsight, after watching every broncos game this season, mogg fully deserves the spot, probably ahead of tate and berrigan (even if they have the experience), he has easily been our best outside back this year.

As for those saying isnt there someone better? Ink, and the others, who would you experts put there? Bowen, Wesser? Bowen is too small and would get eaten alive in defence, and wesser, well he has had his chance at origin and didnt do great.

I've always liked Mogg, and hey least Queensland are finally picking a winger on the wing. I think he'll go alright actually, not outstanding but hopefully won't let 5 tries down his wing like Bowen, Slater, etc. would've.

I thought they might move Berrigan to the centres and shift Bell to the wing, but I'm a fan of picking players in their position and Queensland have been burned a few times by playing players out of position on the wing. With Sing retired and Williams injured Queensland were getting short on dedicated wingers.

Mogg has some size, he's been around in rugby league for a while now, I guess the move makes sense.

The only other move I could think of would be to shift Hunt to the wing, put Lockyer to full back and bring Prince in at half-back, but I guess Queensland wanted minimum disruption to a team that's had quite a few disruptions already.

Hunt on the wing would've been a waste, he doesn't have the pace and once again you get the problem of wing defence.

I was surprised at that selection cause they were considering Brenton Bowen, Matt Bowen and Rhys Wesser, or move Berrigan to centres and Bell on the wing, but Adam Mogg??

Put it this way, he's been one of Canberra's most consistent, he's been playing on the wing, I reckon Qld needed a bolter and a good enough winger to mark Matt King.

Good to see a Raider gets in the Origin team.

I was surprised. All the talk was about Wesser, Mogg wasn't mentioned.

My immediate thought was "Oh great, another centre picked out of position, a-la Bell", but I'll take his good form and his playing on the wing under advisement fromt he Raiders fans, though it does smack of his supporters desperately talking the bloke up, something we Queenslanders have done quite a bit of in recent years as we try to imagine we can match the talent pool of the Blues and the feats of the golden generation we had in the 80s.

If what you Raiders fans are saying is true, i.e. that's he's playing well on the wing this season, his selection makes sense. A specialist winger, tall and strong to combat the size of the Blue wingers. I'll run with it for now.

I was just glad to see Bell picked in the centres. That was a glaring error (one of a few) by our selectors in Game 1.

Another example of the arrogance an ignorance towards Our side displayed by many people on this forum. If you had actually sat down and watched Moggy play this season, you would agree that this selection is thoroughly deserved.

His defense has been sensational, he breaks the line regularly and is great attacking and defending under the high ball. He also has some much needed size that queensland need.

Comments such as these only show you haven't been watching him this season.
Time for you to change that pantie liner id say....

Ive watched just about every game this year, lucky all our tastes vary just like our opinions, or brussel sprouts farmewrs would be up the creek.

I did say...

hes a fairly good capable first grader,

...my comments were on a comparison between him and who hes replacing, even you could see he isnt a pinch on Inglis.
Then again...probably not.
