Well it was orginally a quota of 2 but after NSW lost game I in the infinate wisdom of the NSW selectors they decided that the reason NSW lost game I was that there were not enough Manly players in the team so they upped the quota to 3 ;-)

Out of all the selections, Lyon's is by far the worst. He has absolutley no right all all to be selected for NSW. Bozo give yourself 1000 uppercut's.

There's too many form backrowers in the comp and Watmough is at the back end of that pack, not even Bozo's endorsement could get him in the side. His defence of Lyon is unwarranted though, Lyon has not been up to origin standard in the first 2 games and on form deserves to be dropped.

yeah but how many of the backrowers have performed this series? I think it's more of an issue of poor coaching, kite and mason had no game time in game 2 and bailey played like 50 minutes off the bench. stupid.

Watmough has been a stand out in the competition this season. What has me confused is that Jamie Lyon has not. Lyon should not be in that third match. He should also not be playing 5/8 for Manly and selected as a centre. He is a centre, but he has no form to show he is the 2nd best centre in NSW.

The unfortunate factor for Watmough is that at the start of the series, Hindmarsh, Mason, and Ryan were walk up selections. Gallen, Hoffman, Laffranchi, Bird, and Watmough have all been standouts and club level, but there just aren't enough spots in the side to cater for them all. I don't understand the Lyon situation either, he's been given a free pass back into the Aussie and Blues sides without warrant.
