Gunna miss Nathan Cayless - (picture thread)

Nope. Everyone else would just be a temporary captain. Honoured? Absolutely.

But Cayless is THE Parramatta Captain. Not just the longest serving Parra captain. Not just the longest serving one club captain. The longest serving captain in the history of rugby league. No one will ever give the leadership to rugby league that Cayless has, let alone to this Club.

Caylo is pretty darn sexy for a man in his 30s. Even more so for a prop.

I say this from a guy's heterosexual point of view of course *ahem*.

This is Nathan Cayless......

This is what he did for the Parramatta EELS......

This is a great player, captain, clubman, this is a true Parramatta legend and my favourite EEL for at least 10 years, i will seriously miss him, as will the team, well done on a sparkling career, with only one glaring omission

These words are often over used, but not in this instance, Nathan Cayless is a Legend and a Champion

i will NEVER have one ounce of compassion for the cheating pricks from melbourne because they denied us that chance to see caylo (and hindy) that happy at winning a premiership ..... (I also don't feel we were the only team they screwed over, just one of many)

I can't wait till saturday...
Eels by 50 and a massive take home message for 2011 coming in the form of:

" GET OFF YOUR f**kING ASSES AND RESPECT THE CULTURE"

Parra 2011, i'm sure Caylo will be proud knowing the boys will be going into next year with a better attitude.

I didn't want to enter this thread because I knew it would make me sad but I couldn't help myself in the end. I'm devastated he wasn't able to win a premiership with the Eels after feeling like I grew up with him. It will be weird not having him there next year.

Thank you for the great photos Jess & others, have tears flowing right now. Fully behind HJ's sentiment "Captain".... Will always think of him as "Captain" as I do Ray Higgs, Steve Edge, Ron Lynch, Rayner & others from long ago.

Why did Cayless retire? Was he pushed to retire or did he want too?

If he was pushed out, is there a slight chance he might come back before July 1st 2011 for a swansong?

Rumour has it he was pressured into retirement. At least, that's what I've been told.

For years now I've only address Caylo as "Captain". Never again will I use this to directly address a player - any player - who leads out our Club.

Parramatta has only one captain - Nathan Cayless - now and forevermore.

Here here...:clap::clap:

He will be sadly missed, what a legend and someone I feel honoured to be able to tell my son that I met once and was a true gentleman.
