No pain thanks eelstar .
The Dragons on their day are unstoppable and are a team who can win the comp .

Add to it Buettner , Graham and Wilson will never play in the same first grade side together again , and that sheens will finally work out that prince is a 5/8 and keiren kerr should be the regular halfback , na theres not much pain .
lol.

Mate, half of us are old Magpie supporter's, we've gone through plenty of hardships before. You're a Parra fan eh? you've got nothing on Wests buddy. You lose 7 in a row, and you think its the end of the world. Be grateful you haven;'t had to endure a Joint-Venture champ. When you have, as well as copped a few wooden spoons as well as being kicked out of the comp, then come talk to me about pain.

my favorite when we loose is the old cold water extraction of a handfull of nurofen plus - does the trick nicely, especially after really bad efforts where we get blown off the park

:-({|=

What would you rather Gobbs? No team to support at all?

Get over the whole 'wests v balmain' thing. The team is the Wests Tigers, stop whinging and accept the fact that this is your team now. Support them like you supported Wests. Its 5 years since the JV inception, and this shit has gone on far too long.

f**king sooks.

How do you interpret (spelt wrong I know) Gobbs post as anti JV ?

What he posted has no negativity to it. It's all true. Us old Magpies have won a lot of wooden spoons. Whats wrong with posting that ?

Gobbs is all Wests Tigers mate.

Not exactly positive comment this one when you consider the nature of his post.

Firstly, i did not mention of place blame upon either side of the Joint-Venture. Secondly, i do support and have embraced the Joint-Venture completely, so get stuffed. Thirdly, i was making a valid point that Fans, who say they understand what pain is, is a crock of shit. A 50-blot scoreline is disappointing, but Gezz its not the even of the world. I was questioning his motive for the post. eelsta like alot of Parra fans have been kicking and screaming for 7 or so weeks because of the terrible start to the season Parramatta has expereinced.

They have been carrying on like the arse just has fallen out of the world. What my post was trying to convey was the fact that a 50-0 scoreline will not hinder our support for Wests Tigers, it will take a hell of alot more than that.

I re-traced on my own expereinced being a Magpie supporter having star players walk out on a club due to a feud with Coach Ryan, people questioning the real need to have the club in the competition, being labelled as a waste of time, and more recently copping two consecutive wooden spoons in their last 2 years as a single entity, and having to sacrifice your name, history and tradition because a few corporate suits set the rules...now that is pain.

Hopefully Madunit you have taken your prozac, completed you're yoga class and now understand the 'hidden' message that even a blind man could see that i was trying to make. For those who know me personally realise that the Magpies are in my heart, but i am one of the fairest supporter's when it comes to the Joint-Venture. To question my support, i'd have to question your sanity (or comprehension ability).

Why make the comment about the joint venture in a obviously negative post?

It made you seem very unhappy with the notion of the JV, considering what the other option was. It sure as hell made you look quite poorly upon it. Hence why I questioned your support of the team.

And how is it negative ?
Yes it was a pain to go through a JV. You telling me that no one had pain when both our great clubs decided to merge ?
Is it such a crime to state how you felt at the time your club died and failed to exist on its own two feet.

In the end some people chose not to support the JV.

Some, like myself and Gobbs decided to support the JV. We have moved on. The JV marriage gives us 3 teams to support now. Twice the power.

Think your barking up the wrong tree here mate. :)

I think it would be sadder to have no team to support at all, so I wasn't all that sad when I heard that we were merging.

And it is definitely negative when read in context.

I was sad when I heard the Magpies couldnt stand alone and were to merge YES.
How can someone not be. A team you grew up supporting, its like a family member leaving you.

But, things change. Its like moving on with life. You remember the past and you get on with the future. The Wests Tigers is our future and we have accepted that. It was in the best interests of the club that a merger took place it guranteed our presence in a elite competition for the future.

I will always cherish my memories of the Magpies. Is it such a bad thing to remember the past ?

Mate I think you have read to much into it.

Not all that sad when you heard that you're club was sacrificing everything it stood for, for 92 years? Sorry, but that seems very strange to me. 9/10 fans i imagine would have been gutted. But each to their own i suppose. My orignal post was meant to be read in a sarcastic manner to make eelsta realise that he has no idea what pain in Rugby League is. I'm sorry you continue to see it in a negative context, not meaning to have a go at you mate, but perhaps you have a negative outlook upon life, hence the reason, you took a cheap shot at my post...
