The FFA will be surely hoping Melbourne win the Major Semi... otherwise they face the embarrassing situation of having a GF at a small stadium. Maybe they'd have to move it to AAMI?

I dare say they would. The reason they moved last years grand final was cos Bluetongue was too small - remember ;-)

MELBOURNE VICTORY enter the finals phase being the only team to have won two Premiers Plates. Victory, the newly-crowned Premiers, also took out the Hyundai A-League 2006/07 Premiership. Interestingly, in 2008/09, Melbourne used the all-time lowest amount of players in a home-and-away season (19 different players) out of any club in any Hyundai A-League season.

ADELAIDE UNITED, after an epic five months of Hyundai A-League, AFC Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup matches (30 matches since 17-Aug-08), progress to the 2009 Hyundai A-League finals series as the team with the all-time record lowest number of goals conceded in a home-and-away season (19 goals, equal with Sydney 2006/07 season).

HEAD-TO-HEAD RECORD in all official competitions

All matches (played 15): Adelaide United wins 5, Melbourne Victory wins 7 (3 draws).
In Adelaide (played 7): Adelaide United wins 3, Melbourne Victory wins 2 (2 draws).

Did anything else think the ball went over the line with Thompson's shot?

I think Adelaide are getting sucked into the style of play Melbourne like. Adelaide build up play with high possession and pushing their defense up the park, but when they lose it Melbourne look far more dangerous on the counter attack.

Yeah, and by going on the attack next week the same thing will happen again with Thompson and Allsopp on the counter-attack. I'm tipping MV 4-0 next week for a 6-0 aggregate.
