Tallis career is surmised in two events; dragging a player by the collar when other better forwards actually lifted and carried guys over the sideline and bitching about how Origin should be cancelled in 2005.

You can also add his backflip on St George onto the list and why he feels the need to hammer DCE over it repeatedly over it is pathetic. It's like when he went off at Gallen for fighting yet Tallis was probably the biggest thug I've seen play.

Give it a rest.

We're supposed to be judging on playing ability. Nothing else should matter.

He was a great player who had the everything and you can only judge him on the era in which he played - the game's finest for mine, when rugby league was for tough and skilful footballers.

He came of the bench at the Dragons, but he played the starting 2nd row for most of his career.

80mins would be the norm for the vast majority of his games.

Even when he started thew only time he played big minutes was some origin games. He looked so much better because he had team mates to do all the work. He was able to do his impact work because he was allowed to do nothing much at all most of the time

Petero Civoniceva, Mark Graham, Cliff Lyons, Steve Menzies, Ricky Stuart and Gorden Tallis will be the first players inducted into the NRL Hall of Fame for a decade as recognition of their playing achievements.

He was paid by News Ltd to sit out that year anyway. Wasnt a big sacrifice like he makes it out to be.

For the 20 minutes per match he wasn't on the bench Tallis was a sold aggressive forward, but with poor discipline and no ball skill. Tonie Carroll and even Brad Thorn were far better players in that Broncos era than Tallis.

lol at the nrl site saying his retirement left a massive hole in the Broncos. Neckbrace retired and they won the comp right after. He must be still filthy at the club as he was cheering for the Cows in the GF a few years ago.

I have it on good authority Ricky Stuart was ready to blame the referees if he wasn't inducted. It's okay though, he would have started with "I'm not bagging them, but"

Stuart deserves to be there without any doubt. It was a joke that he wasn't included in the top 100 players.

BTW I don't think he would've really cared if he wasn't inducted. He is living a comfortable life on the back of the game so an award like this would be the last of his worries.

Really happy to see Lyons(as pure a footballer as you will see), Stuart(so influential in club & rep footy) & Graham(a giant for NZ)inducted.
