The game introduced first person shooters to a new audience whom had never played them on a pc before; once these people have played far better games on pc they will realise how overrated halo really is.

But every tuesday night we're up at boxxdin having massive 16 player games and its the most fun I've had with an FPS yet, and that includes the greats like Quake 3 and HL. as a multiplayer game it beats just about anything out there.

I realise this, but for those of us who don't have any interest in FPS multiplayer (which there obviously are a few considering Riddick was made with no MP component), Halo 2 is simply a peice of sh*t... Not even close to being worth the price of admission!
I don't really get peoples interest in multiplayer anyway... The only games that are fun like that are sports games like FIFA and NRL etc... To me the single player campeign in DOOM 3 was so chilling and captivating that I never even tried the MP aspect of it! Same with HL 2.
I don't know, I just don't get FPS MP... I just don't find it anywhere near as enjoyable as playing through an interesting, well designed story driven single player campeign... and Halo 2's is arguable one of the worst!

Multiplayer is what keeps the game alive months or years after the game has been released. Without the many multiplayer mods for half life the game would of been forgotton about and not as successful as it is now.
I used to be like you though with regards to playing fps online, i had always thought that sh*t was for computer geeks with no lives, but after jumping in an online multiplayer game of mohaa i loved it.
Escpecially when you get your mates on the same server as you.
Its funny cause you dont realise how crap you really are untill you play online against other players around the country.
