Well done Josh Walker, son of Barry 'Gubba' Walker, who played in the Penrith '91 GF winning side.

Most of the Penrith juniors are average now, because they eat too much KFC and Maccas are basically soft.

I would like to see an all white harold matthews or SG ball team next year. Don't mean to discriminate, but these islander boys have absolutely no discipline on and off the field, 90% of errors on the field come from these guys. Just something to think about.

Stupid idea. If this was the case a few years ago we would have lost Michael Jennings to another club.

It just seems that every game of junior football i watch, the team with the most islanders make the most errors and give away the most penalties. This really hurt both the harold matts and SG ball teams this year, there just didnt seem to be any disrespect. I remember watching a harold matthews islander boy laughing at an opposition player after he made a mistake. I just dont see any respect coming from these polenesian juniors.

There is a shortage of quality halves in the NRL and the Penrith rep sides at the moment. I wonder whether it has anything to do with the number of pacific islanders in the junior leagues?

I believe this is exactly the reason. When kids are about 10-11 and they weigh 45-50kilos and their up against 85kg islanders, many of them drop out. Many of these kids could be potential halves.

I totally agree Sweet-as.

They need to bring weight divisions back for age groups under 15 years. The sooner they do that, the sooner we will start seeing quality halves coming up though the Penrith junior ranks.

I am also a fan of the weight divisions. There is no point having 4 divsions up until the u/15s. But then u may get a problem such as this:

A 12yr old islander weighing around 90kgs, which isnt that rare now days, playing against a 15yr old kid who is 3 years older and 3 years smarter than him.
