I thought the squad was supposed to be announced at 1.30pm?
Demonstrated desire by singing TWO other national anthems in his rugby league career? That's commitment! He is nothing but a glory hunter who shows zero commitment or passion to a state or country. He moved to Australia on a rugby league contract, he didn't emigrate here. This is a different situation to other players not born in aus!
An another note, Dallas Johnson is playing as good as he was for Melbourne but seems to be out of favour with Queensland which I dont understand.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_Te'oIn September 2007, he was called into the New Zealand Kiwis train-on squad with several other Wests Tigers players but was not selected for the tour of Great Britain.
Te'o was named in the Samoa squad for the 2008 Rugby League World Cup. He was overlooked for the first two Samoa matches, however Te'o made his international debut on 9 November at CUA Stadium against France, scoring two tries.
In 2010, Te'o pledged his allegiance to the Australia and the Queensland Maroons being named as the 18th man for Game 1.
Funny thing is Teo would probably never make the Kiwis with the pack we have.
I dont mind the fact the he's always committed to Queensland, unlike some who change their minds. But I see your point. I dont like players playing State of Origin for the sake of just playing in the biggest match, theyve got to tighten the eligibility rules a bit.
