I was very close to the mark with my score prediction....I chose Brett Sherwin for MOM & i said Matt Peterson is a walking f**k up & while he is in our first grade side we will have no chance of wining a premiership!!.

Canterbury played very well.....credit where credit is due!, however we gave them the game on a platter through diabolical handling errors....defensive problems on our flanks....and last but not least...Matt " i shouldn't of even been allowed near first grade" Peterson.!!

Positives??

- Eric Grothe Jr!!...the lad done well & always looked good when he had the ball.

- Craig Stapelton!....Like Eric done well with limited chances.

- Adam Dykes!....i thought Adam done well in the second half & i must say when he plays around dummy half he looks the goods.

- Aaron Cannings!!...this may sound strange as he was pretty ordinary...however besides the mistakes he showed promise when taking the ball up....he will have the knack to make easy ground.

Contingency??

All is not lost, our errors where the worst i had the miss pleasure of ever viewing...however i do believe with some positional changes out wide we still look pretty good in the go forward department.

I believe once our error problem is solved our potential will show.....half off Canterburys tries where scored.....if not all through Parra mistakes eg Burt loosing the ball.....Pearson?.......and of course the useless wonder Matt Peterson!!.

Someone tell Matt you need more then a fancy hair cut to play first grade!!, Cantebrury cut the crap from Parra like a warm knife through butter!.

Veaeliki needs to be at centre!!...worst comes to worst i'd bring in Langi.

Im still positive we can beat Brisbane next week......and that the boy's will be so fired up to rectify this weeks mistakes.

Ron boy, I agree pretty much with most of what you are saying but I am sure Smith will persist with Petersen in the Centres.

I wouldnt mind seeing Dykes at dummy half permantly, Witt/Thorman at Half-back and Morris at Five-Eighth. We have nothing to lose by having Witt and/or Thorman into the team. Something has to be done.

If that is the only constructive comment you can make after viewing that performance im glad your not coaching!

You know im right!....hence the smart arse reply!

How about trying to put a postive spin on a terrible game from our boys and try and work out how we can improve.

Parra fans are in denial.....probably why our shit house club can't win f**k all because of these sort of comments and babing our players to much!

Our side is overated.

About time we called a spade a spade and offer constructive critisism where it's due!

No excuses!

I agree!....Witt has to be in First Grade.....i'd either put Dykes to dummy half or to 5/8 & bring Thorman to the bench!

Wagons performance??....did he actually play??......he's as soft as the new toilet paper i brought today on my arse!.

Vella did miss a few tackles.....but he did make some good yards early.....catch 22!!

I have been saying this about Wagon for over a year! I wasnt really getting alot of listeners. I have said it once and I will say it again, he offers know more value than a player from Jersey Flegg. He was a fringe first grade winger at his best. How does a fringe first grade winger get into such key team position as a Five-Eighth or Lock?? Can someone tell me this?? PLEASE!!!

100% agree!.....you cannot tell me Armit wouldn't of provided more to our side or most players then Wagon.

He's not a first Grade player....he's not a 5/8...how he played for QLD...."God only Knows"

Our ball distribution to Lyon etc is woefull when he's in this position....for a guy of his size he should be walking over everyone!

I think Graham is out for a few more weeks yet, so you will have to leave him out. I think I would consider bring O'Dwyer in and move Vaeliki back to Fullback.

Pearson is too slow, we need to bring something more of the bench that the same that it on the field. We should be using Dean Widders for what he is, a specialist bench player! Smith has never known the best way to use players.

We still try and offload the ball too much. I heard on the Foxtel call that we had more offloads than Bulldogs. What F(*&*( right does a team who gets beaten 48-14 have in having more offloads than there opposition!!!

I have checked the Stats on the NRL site. We had 17 offloads to 7. There is a lot to learn from that one Stat. Although i wouldnt expect Smith to learn one thing from tonights game except that some of his players are extremely overated!

There is no point off loading to a player who isn't going to improve the situation...like tonight!!.....the players should choose appropriately when to pass!.

Half of the offloads where intercepted.

The Bulldogs didn't have to offload - they just ran through the defense - we need to work on our defense big time!!!......most of our offloads went to ground and someone just dived on em.

I have never seen this O'Dwyer play. What can someone tell me about him? Is he in the Sonny-Bill Williams class of centre or am I simply expecting too much!

I didn't see the game as I'm living in China at the moment (it has been taped for me though), but honestly, as soon as I saw the side he picked, I knew we were stuffed. We are really starting to look like a bits and pieces side, like something Souths or North Queensland would have put together because they could could only buy the dregs of the competition.

While Brian Smith has his pet projects and favourites, we'll always be stuffed. We know who the best players in the side are (really it's pretty clear who the best are in every side in the comp, bar a few debates), maybe Brian does too, but either he's too stupid or too blind to see, or maybe he's trying to prove some sort of point, maybe that you can't win a comp with a side half filled with reserve graders, in which case, he's done it very well. Okay Brian, point taken, can you pick the real team now? Thanks. Maybe some of the lesser lights have been trying hard at training, but that doesn't mean they're going to perform on the field.

You can't polish a turd. Jason Taylor may have been seen as a bit of a risk, but he was a just a very good player who had performed in the past who was down on his luck. The players we seem to end up with now have never been any good and have had plenty of chances to prove themselves with other clubs and ours in some cases.

Enough's enough.

How could Witt suddenly be so s@#t, he did some great things for us last year, he was one of our shining lights. Yet now he can't even beat Mr Invisible (Daniel Wagon) for a halves position. Wagon shouldn't have even been resigned let alone been selected as a first grade 5/8 or first grade anything for that matter.

Good night.

Ron, you are pretty much right on the money.

Sonny Bill Williams did play well......but was that due to the fact that Peterson was horrible in defense???

O' Dwyer could only do better if given the chance.
