Which is, I think, more proof of how good Bellamy is and the Storm culture is. Yeah yeah, cheats etc - but you look at the way blokes have played for him at Storm who have been nuffies once they've left, and it's strong evidence.

I never really rated Blair that much to begin with. Good player, but not great. He keeps getting labelled 'Best forward in the world' but I've never understood why.

He was shit hot in 2009 but honestly I think he has been hopeless since then. Also consistently underrated in the "dirtiest players in the game" stakes, takes that title easily for mine.

Yeah...Orford won the Dally M at Manly. Crazy I know. Steve Bell also played pretty well - but he was always consistent anyways.

Maloney was not a regular first grader but clearly he's gone onto better things. Nathan Friend was one of the best bench players in the league before he went to the Tits and played great - but don't think he was any better..just got more minutes.

Apart from that...

Ben Cross: no
Crocker: no
Folau: no
Inglis: no
Turner: no
Tagatese: no
Jeremy Smith: no
Brett White: no
Blair: no
Webster: no
Tomane: no
Champion: not likely tool
The list goes on and on and on...

Crocker played his best footy at the Roosters, before he played for the Storm. Turner, Cross and White were never great players. They got into rep teams because they played for the Storm and a winning Storm. Sometimes people assume because someone players in a winning team they're a great player and clubs pay big money for them. Credit to the Storm being able to play better as a team than other club in the comp, but they have made a lot of average players look better than they are.

His metres tonight were absolutely f**king disgusting.
Honestly, if they hadn't have payed so much he'd be in the f**king reggies for an absolute pea heart performance.
The fact the whole team barely put 1000 together is an indicator, but Joel Thompson made 133 at about the fifth of the cost.

I shit you f**king not any number of players from the Newcastle comp would have provided better f**king service and came at a price of about 20K........... for the year.
35m, that is quiet possibly the most god awful shit I have seen next to a player of such apparent stature in a long time.

As for Jeremy Smith not going well after leaving the $torm, didn't he win a title and get NZ rep player of the year?

f**k that, I'd buy Jezza a beer any day of the week for services rendered in the red v.

I have never heard Blair labelled best forward. Biggest grub definately, but never best forward in the world.

M Scott, P Gallen, C Smith, but never Blair.

Dallas Johnson is great for us, but i wouldnt say he's gotten better since leaving the storm, just continued his good work.

The worst part of the Blair signing is the depth the Tigers have sacrificed.

Their bench is horrible, and their pack has lost every forward battle this season.

Murdoch Masela has been good this year as has Moors (when selected), but we left ourselves too thin, we pretty much were relying on Galloway, Bell and some kids to be our front row rotation and in round 1 we lose Galloway for several weeks, Bell is our only front rower left with more than 50 games to his name, the rest of them (Woods, Murdoch, Moors, Groat) would be luck to have 50 games between them.

Despite that, Bell gets bugger all time on field.

and the similarity to Bill Belichik and New England Patriots is kinda remarkable. The only thing the Storm havent got under Bellamy's reign when comparing them to the Foxborough boys are 'legitimate' premierships.
