Most overpaid player in the game, and pretty obvious he knows it. He's the NRL's version of Rashard Lewis in the NBA.

I also can't understand why he just waddles up for the hit up and provides no impact. No wonder he doesn't make any meters!

He was trained to do a special job in Melbourne just as are all their players. Nothing too tricky but disciplined to the hilt. Not the sort of player you can just let wander around and leave up to their own devices. Hasler or Griffin would make him fit but if Benji's a guide Sheens has no chance

Yeah...Orford won the Dally M at Manly. Crazy I know. Steve Bell also played pretty well - but he was always consistent anyways.

Maloney was not a regular first grader but clearly he's gone onto better things. Nathan Friend was one of the best bench players in the league before he went to the Tits and played great - but don't think he was any better..just got more minutes.

Apart from that...

Ben Cross: no
Crocker: no
Folau: no
Inglis: no
Turner: no
Tagatese: no
Jeremy Smith: no
Brett White: no
Blair: no
Webster: no
Tomane: no
Champion: not likely tool
The list goes on and on and on...

Folau was great for Brisbane. Actually scored more tries in less games.

Yeah, I would of much prefered they spent the cash on Michael Gillet, not sure if he is off contract and the Broncos probably wouldn't let him go or but someone similar, a young gun.

You can add Scott Anderson to that list.

Mate Michael Gillett is yours for a song. He's showed nothing at all so far.

Bit harsh on Tagatese and Jeremy Smith, but apart from that I agree.

I defintely prefer Matt Gillett over Michael. Matt puts in the effort each week, you never see Michael do anything on the field.

Also consistently underrated in the "dirtiest players in the game" stakes, takes that title easily for mine.

i reckon isaac luke has him covered there

The Blair Bitch Project reminds me of Richard Villisanti. Had a period of about a season where he was very good but his grubbiness cost his side big time. They then reverted back to being ordinary.

Gibbs was outstanding for the tiggers for the last couple of years, pretty much since he got poleaxed by O'Meley he started to pull his head in and play decent topball, with as I said the last couple of years being excellent. Why you'd swap Blair for Gibbs I don't know.

Even worse for tigers fans is that their best forward is heading home next year.

Jeremy Smith is almost always a stand out in the Kiwis pack, and pretty much the second best forward in the game he plays every week. Given that the best one in his games is inhuman, he's doing just fine at the Sharkies. Nothing wrong with Taga either. Wouldn't swap either for Blair.

Actually, wouldn't swap either of Fifita or Gibbs for him either, but the Tigers were happy to swap both for him.

Blair is fine, sometimes good, fast, pretty skillful, tackles well (meaning grapples well, but it works) and is a good first grader. But he isn't an intimidating, resilient, hard working or inspiring forward, and you really need to be at least some of those things (hopefully all) for $500000.

Yeah I agree with you, but what I would have said originally if I was you-

'but unlike Melbourne, the Foxborough boys got to keep their dodgy titles'

Apologies about being pedantic mate.

no offence taken. your phrasing is more accurate.

Tigers will regret losing Fifita just as they misjudged the value of Lima. Taking Blair from his comfort zone without considering whether he'll be more interested in finishing his career with a buck rather than a bang.

Much more value in Fifita imo, but I'm not Tim Sheens nor would I want to be
