The choke tag is ridiculous to start with.

Most of it comes from clubs' supporters that have not achieved anything for a long, long, long, long time.

eg. Souths = Nothing since 1971, I repeat nothing, including a straight sets exit as minor premiers in 89.
Parramatta - Nothing since 86
Cronulla - nothing
Canberra - 94, but I will say thie future looks bright.

Yet, instead of admitting that their club is a joke, they prefer to pick on a consistently performing club and call them chokers.

Chokers and Bradbury are just terms used by jealous fans of successful clubs.

Tbh people only persisted with the chokers so much because it looked to get under the skin of Dragons fans and because Dragons have such a big fan base, there's plenty of fans to have a go at.

I never really worried about it that much. I never hated Saints, I don't know why others do. Roosters, Manly and Broncos are the only clubs I have a real disdain for.

Im not a Dragons fan but in a general sense i would rather support a team that supposedly chokes in finals games, than a team of perennial failures, of which there are quite a few. Its better to lose a grand final than not make the top 8.

The Dragons were never chokers, I feel that tag has always been unjustified.

The real chokers, and yes being an Eels fan I say this, are Parramatta.
Even then, I don't think any team is a 'choker' as bad as some people on here go on about....

Next year we won't be as good .... I don't see how that is relevant to this year.

But in terms of next year, the salary cap has already hit with Gasnier signing and we are losing Smith, Costigan, Saffy and then a number of depth players on top of that.

We have signed nobody of note to replace them ... Daniel Penese and David Gower are hardly superstars of the NRL :crazy:

I agree time will tell.... with or without Bennett going forward at least the monkey is off their back.

Parra's biggest problem has always been getting into the GF.... The Dragons are good at getting there but winning it is another story for them. I'm glad they got it this year.

Saints kept their opposition scoreless in 4 out of 6 halves of finals football

hopefully even neutrals can see that is amazing
