Have your RL intentions changed?

With all the sh*t of the past week has your attitude to RL changed in any way?

No. From what I've seen coming through the Toyota cup I believe we will always have the superior game.

On NRL on fox last night Gavin Orr, SBW's manager up till Feb, revealed SBW had been advised his knee is basically stuffed. Bone on bone was the term used so it looks like his time in league was going to be limited anyway.

Knowing that people with agendas are trying to destroy my game makes me stronger. I am not an NRL fan, but a Rugby League fan. Yes the NRL have a lot to answer for but they are NOT Rugby League and we shouldn't let them destroy our passion for the greatest game. They have done nothing but stand by and watch the AFL and RU funded media tear our image apart over the last 5 years. This has damaged the game immensely. At times I wonder how we've managed to survive.

In the right hands, RL would be unstopable.

I'd be far more concerned if there was no debate going on at all - it shows people still care deeply about RL, and that RL is still a fierce rival to the other codes.

If RL has no fans and was irrelevant on the Australian sporting landscape, we wouldn't have the debate we are currently seeing.

League has a lot f enemies. They dont just not like us or not care. They hate us. Why?? Because they know we have the best game. They just wont let themselves believe it.

Yes Im tired of having my heart broken and my game ridiculed but no matter what anyone does to the game it is still Rugby League. The sport itself has done nothing to make me want to turn away.

I will still think there are too many Sydney Teams.

I will still think kickby is an inferior and boring game.

I will always look at AFL as geniuss chasing a tennis ball in a knock on-a-thon.

I will still think the French are cowards.

I will still wonder why jurnos go to Mundine the boxer to talk league (they are really stupid, good luck to him promoting his fight because jurnos are dumb)

And I will be fired up 5:30pm Saturday for the local derby.

I totally agree with all of these sentiments except on one key point. Other interests running agendas within our sport is only "doom & gloom" if we sit on our hands and do nothing about it.

Take-over bids and hidden motives should be like a rallying cry. We should re-group, motivate the tired & weary, remove the rotten apples and get on with what truly is the Greatest Game of All.

I'm with the majority here. I'm not going to change any time soon. Maybe thats part of the problem, the clubs know this and can take advantage of die hard fans? Then again if this poll was put to the wider community it might be a lot different.

I think for most people responses like that seen in the last month or so only reinforce their love and passion for TGG.

It certainly has that effect on me...
