Hayne at fullback for blues?

The problem i can see is that normally they will take the starting hooker off and put him on for the final stages of the game. If that happens than Gidley goes back to fullback, who goes off? Do they take off a fairly fresh Morris or take off another outside back. Maybe they're worried Lyon wont make the 80 mins.

They`re probably more worried that Barret won`t make the 80 minutes. If that`s the case, then Gidley to five-eight, Hayne or Morris fullback, etc. OR: Lyon to five-eight, Hayne or Morris to centre. There`s a lot of permutations because Lyon can play centre or five-eight; Barret can play five-eight or lock; Hayne - fullback, centre, wing, maybe five-eight?; Gidley fullback, five-eight, hooker / half; Morris centre or wing or fullback. Our whole backline are utility players.

One question: what will NSW selectors do next year for a five-eight? If NSW miraculously win this series, will they keep wheeling Barret out until he can`t stand up anymore? And if we don`t win, it`s back to square one again. They should have given Campese another chance. It`s stupid to blood a rookie at this level and give them one game to be a super-star. If this ridiculous S.O.O. concept is to be resurrected, the selectors have to show some imagination. Trundling out the same old culprits year after year proves what a meaningless joke this series has become.

not just that, they picked a captain who might not play there next year. With Stewart and Hayne possible contenders (and could outplay gidley easy IMO) he may not be in the side next year. Campese is the long term option at 5-8 IMO, he has alot of class just needs to find that consistance at origin level. Farah also will play a big role in future clashes and the halfback is still undecided IMO (Wallace has been good enough atm). The centres and wing positions are not concrete and the only real solidarity is the forwards IMO. Team should have had Campese in there IMO and maybe passed captaince onto someone like ODonnold.

Well the talk now is that if Wallace has a bad game in first half (going to happen lol) Gidley will move to halfback, hayne to fullback, morris to wing.

i dont mind that strategy, anything to get wallace off the field.

Hopefully the NSW selectors will be shown the door after this series, and hopefully the new ones can have some brains. i predict by next series Jamie Soward, under the help of wayne bennent, will be ready. I still dont know about Mitchell Pearce, Jarrod Mullen or Campese. One of them will have to step up. i dont see peter wallace in NSW's future.
