Talking of the Knights, reckon Hoppa would be a good pick up for them. They are struggling to sign players and Hoppa probably wouldn't cost a fortune.

Yeah no superstar but is still a quality player that can play 1 to 5, and would be a good role model.

If the stupid merkin wants to play Sundays

Roosters still in hunt for Hayne

The rugby league rumour mill has been in overdrive with talk the Roosters will make a late and lucrative bid for Jarryd Hayne. The Chooks have also been linked to Melbourne centre Will Chambers, but that deal is said to be on hold until Hayne makes a call on his future.

It appears increasingly likely that Hayne will remain with the Gold Coast, where he has an option in his favour for a $1.2 million deal for next year. Even if the Roosters didn't re-sign Blake Ferguson, Shaun Kenny-Dowall and Aidan Guerra, they'd struggle to find that kind of cash after signing Tigers fullback James Tedesco.

Hayne, who is expected to be picked for NSW, has until May 31 to trigger the Gold Coast option, which just happens to be the night of the opening State of Origin game. Speculation about the cross-code star's future is likely to feature prominently in the lead-up, although Blues coach Laurie Daley is hopeful it won't prove a distraction.

"That's something he has thought long and hard about and it's a decision for him – no one else can make that for him but Jarryd," Daley said.

"It's a decision he will make and I'm sure whatever it is, he'll be comfortable with. He's a professional and will put those type of things aside."

I agree with avenger. Hayne to the dragons is a strong possibility now that Dugan is gone.

French's poor kick returns have highlighted our need for a fullback. f**k I wish we would have a crack at him.

Gutherson to fullback is the answer and then have a look a ferguson.

Gutherson will be our right centre, you can lock that it. I reckon ferguson is more of a winger than a centre anyway.

Probably, just wouldn't be spending big on a fullback (if we wanted one) while we have Gutherson!! Buying a centre/winger is a cheaper option !'

We already have Jennings , Taka and gutherson contracted for at least 2018 who would all be top 25. That leaves French and Hoffman as fullback options who also happen to be able to play wing. A fullback purchase makes the most sense and aligns with the fact we showed interest in Tedesco

Why the f**k wouldn't we have a crack at him for the right price?

We could just use Guth, French and Hoffman in rotation. They get two or three games at fullback and when it's clear they're not the answer we bring in one of the others. Then when the last of them underwhelms, we rotate back to the first, having forgotten how ordinary he was first time around.
