We will know when he stops talking about God and starts saying he is a god I guess
Speaking of talking about "God", whoever or whatever that is, this is one reason I hope we don't see him back... I don't think I'll be able to handle having to hear him mention his god and his journey every time he does a presser from the moment he announces he's coming back to every other bloody day that he gets interviewed. I find it cringeworthy being totally frank.
Up to about a day ago, I've been keen on seeing him return... But I've come to the realissation that even if he comes back we are still a couple of other weapons short of being a premiership threat. A proven and effective hooker and prop are still essential IMO. Hayne returning won't change that I don't think. The strongest teams we've had on the park this year (Foran aside) have shown enough to me to suggest that just a couple of astute buys could be all we need to take the next step. Foran, apart from a nice try V the Raiders, I don't think offered a great deal in contributing to the wins the team had when he played. Whether he was playing injured or within himself because of his hamstring or whatever, defensively he was sound yes, but if anything, he contributed to the first loss V the panthers with some poorly taken options late in the game from memory... these were the sorts of poor options he was supposed to be coming to the club to help us eradicate...
Also, I was a quite unimpressed with Norman in his first year with us, but 2015 and 2016 he has been stellar... He seems to have relished the role of playmaker in the absence of Hayne and Foran to a lesser extent. I'd hate to see Norman re-sign with us and then go back in to his shell because Hayne is calling the shots... there'd be people jumping all over him sayng he's dogging it because he got his new deal and won't try again until next contract is up for negotiation....
