I've got my hopes up. All the way up.
As for not knowing, history suggests that Hayne has always been about Hayne. His quick exit from the Eels to pursue his dream, his quick exit from the 49’ers when the coach who kept him on was looking to be sacked. Him linking with Fiji to play at the Olympics on next to no preparation and his signing with the Titans, when he owed us the first time in his return to the NRL.
Why now would he feel that he owes the club that paid him to go and follow his dream, sold his merchandise at the club and turned his back on them and lied to the media about not even being offered a contract?
It’s precedents like that that make me
Question his return to the club now being all about Hayne and his ego rather than owing anything to the club and it’s fan base.
I hope you are right Suity. I'll be as happy as a pig in shit if Hayne becomes the player that we all want him to be (and he does it in the blue and gold).
I'm not relying on it though...
Anderson also seems unlikely, given the regime change and how early in the year they were looking for a new coach.Id argue the new 49rs staff tapped him on shoulder and said your not going to be psrt of squad.
I would also keep quiet if I was at a job and if last 10 more days collected 90k. Heck he copped the grunt fpr Henry being sacked. Cant remember who come out in media and said plenty of players wantsd Henry out, but Hayne story sells papers.
Who did he get sacked at eels?
Taylor -No
B.Smith - No
Hagan - No head had a breakdown
Anderson- ? Unsure but doubt it.
SK - LOL NO
Ricky - No he walked
BA - Current coach.
The story had no legs. Forans treatment towards club was a bad. Teddy and Woods showed Tigers no respect.
Hayne upset us fans cause he was so good it hurt when left. But hey maybe KARMA.
We get him for 500k, wasnt it 750k we had offered last year?
Don't do it Hindy, it's a trick!!Roll my dick.
Yeah. There are pros and cons with both 1yr and 2yr.People say a 1yr deal is smart ... but it worries me ... even a 1yr + 1yr option in our favour .... He will be thinking out his future. All players try to have their future sorted out 6-12 months in advance ... he will be distracted until it is sorted.
Having said that, 2yrs worries me more ... lol ... in BA i trust
He won't be thinking about it, he'll be playing for it. If he doesn't put in he won't get a contract anywhere in the NRL or if he does, he will be very cheap.People say a 1yr deal is smart ... but it worries me ... even a 1yr + 1yr option in our favour .... For Hayne to give up the lucrative deal and take a chance with us on a pay cut, I think he's in that mentality of really having a dig at it, and that is exciting.
Was a paid working holiday.Titans gave him 2.4 million reasons to have a dig, it seems to have backfired big time.

The Titans flew a bloke up who had no intentions of signing with them and 12 hours later he signed on the dotted line. The Titans got everything they deserved when offering a bloke who never wanted to be there, so much money that he couldn't refuse.
So how did the roll go Hindy???
And I reckon Gary was a scrotum kind of guy.
Lol. It says more about Hayne then the titans. Hayne has always been about Hayne. No body made him sign the contract. What he’s given in return of 2.4 mill, is a disgrace. I applaud BA for not caving in and paying overs for Hayne last season. I’m sure if he’s signed for next season, it’ll be for what BA wants to pay.
What does that say about Hayne though? F**ken mercenary. The Titans flew a bloke up who had no intentions of signing with them and 12 hours later he signed on the dotted line.
