Hayne signs with Gold Coast

Nope.

The transfer deadline only applies to players already contracted with an NRL team. As Hayne had no existing contract, he had no issue with the transfer deadline. Theoretically they could have signed him just to play in the last round and it would have been ok.

Didn't you read any of this thread? I don't care when he signs personally but until it can be shown that a "clearance" is not required for Hayne as it states in the rules for any other human that has ever played for another rugby league club previously then ECT is right.

I think its stupid and thought ECT was off his nut there for a while, but it's all there in black and white.

Jarryd Hayne heading back to Parramatta?

That's the scoop he will finish next season with the Titans and then head back to Parramatta on five year deal worth 10 million. The only problem with this tip is that I'm pretty sure Hayne is contracted to the Titans until the end of 2018 so I'm not sure if this tip is that reliable.

30% of salary cap?

Hayne is too old now. Last two years spent in wastelands.

No chance.

We didn't want to pay him more than $800k a year this time around, but now suddenly we're offering him $2million a year? Please.

His not a player that'll win you a premiership, his too hot and cold and now his got the fumbles, can't hold onto the ball, I'd rather a young Bevan French over a old past it Hayne.

Invest the $2 mill into 3 or 4 quality players.

thing is, it sounds like the sorta thing Parra would do. I rate it a 7/10 chance of it occurring augmented purely by Parramatta having a recent track record of idiocy.

Best thing for Parra was securing Arthur but the 2nd best, besting the securing of Norman, was 'missing out' on Hayne
