well with Inu not being re-signed then no, if Inu was re-signed then yes, it all comes down to making sure your retaining the right talent for the right price and age too.
Luke Burt is like 28, he still has 5 or 6 years (maybe even longer) left in him, not a bad time frame for someone who bleeds blue and gold and has given us some of our finest tries since the 80's!!!
Inu appears to have no where near the passion and commitment that Burt has, potential only goes so far and as sad as i am to see Inu leave, we just couldn't wait any longer or pay the money that the Warriors offered, especially when Burt has been in the form he has in the last few years!!!
burty is just as big an eels legend as hindy and caylo imo. Freaking great player and a truly awesome bloke, too.
Onya, burty!

Burt    INU....
I hope that clears it up...
i agree, but if burt wasn't re-signed then inu shouldve been, as long as the price was right.
Burty over INU ATM easily, Burt is the smartest winger in the comp bar none. And INU while talented is one of the dumbest. I think he will go over to the Warriors and fade into obscurity. I hope i'm wrong but this how i see it.
I hope Inu proves me wrong for the rest of this year , but I would have gladly seen him hooked last night after gifting Manly two tries. Firstly making the bee-line for the sideline (remember Moose Mossop's advice , "treat it like a precipice") second , did the right thing by taking the defensive intercept , but gave Tom Humble little chance with the unnecessary pressure pass. Granted he took the second intercept to nearly set up Humble , but how on earth does the slugthug Catai run him down? Unfortunately a lot of Inu's potential was linked to his agility and pace , and ever since his injury in 2008 , he's lost a lot of confidence AND pace. Have seen him run down a few times now - vs Titans @ Skilled last year? Big risk for unknown return on investment for Warriors.
Mateo is a different matter though ,has his best game this year last night
Grothe would of scared had he take the intercept.
