Certainly wasn't his best game of the season, i thought his game against the Dogs was his best. But he is killing it ATM, lets hope he has another blinder on Fri nite :)

Anyone that says Hayne wasn't awesome in the game against the warriors and pretty much every game for the last 3 months is kidding themselves. He makes more metres than any other player in the team, has scored the most tries, has the most try assists, most runs, most tackle busts, is 3rd for most kicks and yes, has made the most errors. Of course, when you are as involved as he is you will make more errors, just as Andrew Johns did and Jonathon Thurston does. However, he has just 3 more than Luke Burt, who has made less than half the runs Hayne has.

As soon as there is some hype about a player, there’s always someone that wants to say they know better, he’s overrated, blah, blah blah.

I can’t remember the last time I saw a player have this much positive influence on games week in, week out.

Maybe his game wasn’t a 10 against the Warriors, but if someone else had that game, everyone would be blown away. It’s just that we expect it from Hayne now. I’m not having a go at Burt either, he’s in career best form in my opinion.

The hype thing works both ways. Players that aren’t hyped up also get undue praise just because they were solid, doing their job and didn’t stuff up. And players that are hyped up are scrutinised more. Just wait until Hayne has a shocker. He will at some stage, but hopefully not before the end of the year.

I think that's a bit harsh. I remember him being involved in a break after the 20 minute mark where we nearly scored after a kick ahead, but the ball was kicked again over the dead ball line. Just because our scoring slowed down after the first 3 tries doesn't mean he wasn't getting involved (although I concede he wasn't AS involved). We had a massive lead... he didn't really need to be going nuts.
I think that was around the 35min mark. Between the 20min and 35 min mark he was not involved at all, I was keeping an eye on him as I felt he picked up a knock and was injured. I believe he picked up his involvement straight after half time though.

Our own Parramatta greats rate Hayne one of the best players in the world. Collectively they have played over 1000 first grade games. But hey what would they know ? They must have been sucked in by the media hype aswell.

yeah your right.
I haven't watched any Super league games this year like they have or every other game in the round to be able to compare his form. So they must be right.

People are not saying he is playing great but feel other players efforts may be overlooked.

That's exactly right, boa. Guys like Lowrie, Burt, Cayless, Fui, Robbo and especially Joel have been just as influential in our games as HaHa yet there are few - if any - write ups about them.

I disagree with that. They have played their role but Hayne is on another level. If Hayne doesn't play do those guys get us home ? I don't think so.

Acknowledge the others for what they do but Hayne is why we're in playoff contention. No doubt about it.

without Fui and the rest of the forwards out playing their opposition does Hayne have the room to move, I think not.

With one of the tries last week, Fui put hayne into the gap and Hayne ran and passed it, who got all the praise for the try?

Yes, they do, actually.

Prior to the Sharks game the player most important to our change of fortune was Cayless, based on the fact that he was most crucial to our change of style. In the last two games we've never been actually threatened and guys like Fui would have gotten us home easily v Warriors through both bulldozing and ballplaying.

also we are lucky Hayne made that 1 tackle last game, we wouldn't have won without it.

Neither of Burt's tries had anything to do with HaHa. Neither did Mortimer's. In addition, it was Reddy's try (?) that initially came from a Fui ball, is that right?

More than enough to win last week.

You're so lame Homo Jiz, but hey stick to your guns son and you just keep on admiring and worshiping that mediocre group of former Parra Neville nobodies in Stu Galbraith, Michael Erickson & Joe freakin Bartolo.

While the rest of us keep boning up hard by the wondrous God like magical feats of the one and only greatest FULLBACK the world has ever seen. Jarryd THE MAGNIFICENT Hayne. You're such a total looser and even Stu Michael & Joe know that. ;-)

Are you serious dude?

Like i said everyone has a role in the team. There are only 4 or 5 genuine match winners in the comp though, and Hayne is one. He is on another level.

That doesnt take anything away from what the other guys are doing as everyone is doing their job. The others help Hayne thrive no doubt, but he has the talent to capitalise on their hard work. How were we going when Burt was fullback?

Hayne has bought a new level of confidence to the WHOLE side.
