c'mon hj, the media isn't going to be writing about this mob until they're in the finals. glitz n glamour sell papers right now. probably be a spread on jarryds favourite game breaking breakfast soon.

Absolutely. I don't in any way disagree with that. As a matter of fact that would constitute the majority of the problem that I have.

Hayne will be face of the NRL in years to come. He's a marketing weapon who will pull the crowds into Parra stadium. His 400K contract will be off-set with all that revenue he generates through merchandise and ticket sales. A true Parra champion who is in the Christiano Ronaldo class. He's not making the papers every day for nothing. Enough said!

Everything has come into place for Jarryd in the last couple of months, and I for one couldnt be happier for him. Lets just hope he can deal with all of this media attention. I am looking forward to the game on Friday night, looking forward to all our players having a positive effect on our game, Jarryd included.:D

Yes I do. I don't, however, think she is the only one and I don't think that we'd be unable to win without her.

Haha, no.

HaHa doesn't even come close to taking the pressure of the likes of Mortimer. Morts and Robbo have to run every set of six regardless of what HaHa is doing. Burt does a helluva lot more than HaHa did when she was in that position - not just wing play but also working as the second fullback.

Exactly, and HaHa isn't one of the players that is going to stop us from winning if they are out.

We've been lucky that the two teams we've played with Cayless out are two of the bottom three teams in the competition. We've had to shut down our play a bit because he is out. Look at the way we played against the likes of the Dogs, Storm etc. We'll need to play like that - and not like we have the last two weeks - in order to go anywhere in the finals.

Cayless is the most important player in our team and the most important to our continued success. As I just said above, he was the first one to start the expansive, exciting play that has seen us change our fortunes and he is coming back just in time for us to square up against more difficult teams again.

That's entirely possible, too. However, it should only come after years of high quality performances.

Having said that, it may not be something you'd want to happen. Look what's happened to the two faces of the game this year... In my opinion, they got it wrong with those guys anyways. Hazem, Price, Campbell, Kimmorley, Hindmarsh and Cayless - there's a bunch of people who have given a decade of good service to the game, both on and off the field, who should be held up before some kids who have simply put a few good games together. If I remember correctly there was an article along these lines recently, wasn't there?

Your sig, and this post, just show how small minded, immature and basically idiotic you are. I've achieved plenty in life and am very proud of what I have done and what is yet to come.

I just don't play rugby league and I must say, thank the Lord for that. Not that it actually means that much anyways. Parents, teachers, doctors, police, soldiers etc - all of these people achieve greater things in their lives than simply playing a sport. I will always give significantly more credit to their contributions to society than I ever will to any sportsman or athlete. You should do the same.

You can only go off face value. At the moment, there's nothing to suggest Hayne can't be a so called role model. Personally, I'm really impressed with his mild mannered attitude that compliments his on field performances. He is always quietly spoken when interviewed and always raps his team mates for his success. I take your point on the players you mention above, but Hayne is young and exciting. Players like Inglis, Falou, Stewart, Thurston and Hayne are a class above good old Hazem and the simple facts are they are the ones who will bring money to our game. The NRL will exploit this as best they can which is why I beleive he will feature strongly in the NRL marketing brand.

No doubt. I saw a piece (just mentioned in another thread) where a couple of players took time to speak to a NZ kid who was flown over to te Warriors game. HaHa was one of them and it was good to see. We need more of that from across the spectrum (and, in tandem, we need the bloody media to give it the attention it deserves).

My point was basically that instead of just using young flash players they could do much better (especially in terms of targeting families [read: Mums]) using guys that have years of service of great off field actions.

Gotcha there HJ ;-)

Not even close.

As I've explained a myriad of times my actions have totally legitimate reasons that go far beyond HaHa herself. As long as these reasons continue to go over peoples' heads (or is that in one ear, out the other? haha :p) they actions will continue to be employed.

One thing I have achieved, eelzzzzz, is a good mastery of the English language. You should take a tip from a ridiculously handsome bloke and try it yourself.

The Parra Jesus is just jelous.

He finally realises that Hayne is the (son of) god of Parra and not him and is fighting for his territory.

He's just delusional. He feels that instead of everyone worshipping the mighty HJ they're worshiping the god of Hayne instead.

you dont need many words to describe how good hayne is and how important he is to our team. A superstar....
however alot of others deserve credit too.... but even his team mates acknowledge how important he is to the team.
he is a FREAK
