There was a similar thing at Cronulla nigh on a decade or so ago, dudes wanting to play for the Sharks because they were Christians.... Hmmmm??

What I find amazing is that The Group CEO has escaped without any "punishment" whatsoever.
So all this went on without his knowledge????
When he had control of all the books???
Has there ever been a CEO, of any company, been left out of so many business decisions and know Nuzink about them?
Spare me.
No wonder people around the club are thinking he got immunity.
You'd think a hard hitting journo would be onto this...
The silence is deafening

Let's just blame Flanno for it all, that'll keep the dogs at bay.

I've said it a few times, snake oil salesman. Manly have actually handled his situation well by moving him aside..
In the Tele today:

CRONULLA CASE CLOSED

The NRL has finally closed its investigation into the Cronulla Sharks salary cap scandal. It has been confirmed their former chief executive Lyall Gorman signed a statutory declaration that the club was cap compliant, despite almost $1 million in rorts being uncovered. The recently departed Manly CEO has escaped punishment but faces tough questioning if he tries to take on another administration role in the game.

Isn’t he still in the game?

Didn’t manly just put him in a different role?
Nah, he works for another company who just so happen to be looking after the building of Manlys CoE.

No coincidence whatsoever.
Manly may have helped us out in this situation by moving him on, meaning he doesn’t have to talk to the NRL.
Payback for Dank.....

I want it reopened. Our club thrives on dramas, it's like a drug(oops). There are certain journos who'd have zero to write about, if it wasn't to potshot the Sharks. It's the only publicity we get.
Squeaky clean don't rate. The horror, so many League journos out of work. Think of the children.

Does that mean Flanagan can finally return from exile and start coaching Parra?

I know mate. We are a tragic, sad and dysfunctional football team.
It took us about 12 years to get over the Chris Anderson debacle.
Our team culture and systems are now strong, even through our recent front office struggles the team has remained a strong unit.
One day your team will come good. Whether Arthur is the one to get you there remains to be seen.

Frenzy.

Arthur is not the problem there FWIS.

The problem at Parra for mine are all the remnants, relics and fossils from the glory days of the 80s who, whether in positions of governance or not stick their fekking noses in from the background and de stabilise every effort whoever the people elected or appointed do.

Parra will struggle till all them are in lock up dementia units

There is nobody left from that era in the club and who is actually sticking their noses in. What are you talking about? Stick with what you know, leave the bumbling Eels to the Eels' tragics.
