Did I see aSt George playerin the lower grade fixture today walking off with some sort of camera attached to his head gear?
I just picked up a glimpse of it on TV... Anyone at the game might be able set me straight.

The idea of having a camera of a player's scone sounds pretty awesome to me.

Just to clarify that, I'm talking about the Charity Shield match.

Is there room for some sort of technology that allows the viewer to see inside the tackle..or the scrum?

They used helmet cams in the XFL I believe. Also on NFL referees, NHL goalies. The NHL has a camera inside the net looking out, the NBA has one on top of the backboard, and now a floor cam under the basket - it's set into the floor, looking up at the action under the hoop. I find most of these gimmicks are interesting for a short while, but they lose interest quickly.

Could a camera survive in a scrum cap without getting damaged?

Hey,

Sorry about the lateness in reply, anyhow, Yes, Willow, it was a headcam you saw in the chairty shield, although it was an exhibition match, at halftime of one of the lower grade games. Basically, they came on, there were no hard tackles, runs, infact, there weren't any scrums. Noone even got put onto the ground. It was all for the telstra road van, and I think they're going to tweak it up, speed it up through computer, and make it look as if it was a real game.

Hope that answers your question.
